We are all Artists

With all of this confusion and commotion going on with G2 and V6 I just wanted to remind myself that we are all artists and we can make wonderful art with what we already have in our toolboxes. I see it here every day in the forums. Don't get me wrong, I purchase new content all the time and love trying new things but I look back at how much I money have spent and I seem to still use the same stuff all the time. My dad is and artist and makes amazing art with a pencil and paper... So, if you feel like it post something simple here using content that you have had for a while and have fun just being creative :-)

    Some really old content here!

One of the original DAZ Fishies - albeit with a minor tweak to the texture...

Thanks, it's a scene I set up to test translucence and IDL.

Did it really come with this texture?

All I did was swap out one image for another.

I call that a minor tweak, but others would call it a complete replacement.

So I guess the answer has to be no, it did not come with that texture.

I think they were too worried about the confusion it would cause over what wine to serve with it...

I've had Lightwave Battlestar models for awhile and in the past few days converted the meshes to object format, UV re-textured them completely, and this is what I have so far. All with free tools from DAZ 3D, DAZ Studio 4.6, and some kind 3rd party freebies. What's not to like?

If it's not too much a bother I would also like to know what was used to make these images. In particular I would like to know what was used in mxstylie's and ps1borg's images. I do not recognize what is in the images, except for the Mammoth.

Not a bother at all. I used Jack Tomalin's GIS Project and Dimension Theory's Skies of Economy Sunset 1. Regular Daz Camera at 14mm

The Sunset is an HDRI attached to a Luxus infinite light rendered with LuxRender. Thats it :-)

Nah, it's a very old render - predates Gaga by a while.

I shall refrain from the obvious jokes about it possibly being something to do with under garments.

    You're welcome.
