G2 to G1 - Clone for G2?

I'm trying to think of reasons why there can't be a clone of G2 for G1 making it so G2 outfits are compatible with the original Genesis because it really does seem like that should be totally possible.

EDIT: This is about Genesis 2 clothing on Genesis. I know you can get Genesis clothing to work with Genesis 2 (if they're not high-heeled shoes)

I made it work but properly it only works in DS 4.6 so far (which I had to install to check, dammit -_-)
In DS 4.5 you will have a clone shape (which might help you to rerit clothes via transfer utility) but you'll have to convert Genesis 2 clothes to usual rigging somehow because autofit in DS 4.5 has no TriAx to TriAx fitting.

I wrote a short tutorial about how to do it.

Free Wilmap G2F Summer dress (thank you tons, Wilmap), on Genesis with Demonics body and Asari head morphs by DarioFish, Briallen texture and Apprentice Mage in Tower pose. Autofit used SickleYield projection templates and my G2F clone shape.
There are obvious problem areas underbreasts and (I think) at pelvis, but general shape with some collision and smoothing (both around 6) fits pretty well. On drastic shapes, like Undead Fiend, crumpling is much more noticeable but I think it is with all clothes like that.
Also I have no idea how shoes or gloves or hair converts.
