Can't find Genesis2Female.dsf (solved, I guess)

I installed DSD 4.6 and downloaded the IM00016280-01_Genesis2FemaleStarterEssentials. I unzipped the download and copied the Content folder stuff to my existing Content folder. When I try to load Genesis 2, I get an error that some files can not be found--this one specifically:

data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 2\Female\Genesis2Female.dsf

I clearly have the file and I see it in the exact path referenced above. The only difference, of course, is the rest of the file path:

H:\Genesis\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 2\Female\Genesis2Female.dsf

Do I need V6 before this will work? Do I need to reset something? I've installed, uninstalled and re-installed DS4.6 twice now--no luck.

Edit: Other stuff opens fine, btw.....

In DS can you go to Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager, expand the "DAZ Studio Formats" and "Poser Formats" sections, and post a screenshot?

Strange, that looks correct. Is this an external hard drive? Is it possible it doesn't always get assigned the same drive letter?

No, it's an internal hard drive. I just tried the Carrara 8.5 beta and Genesis 2 loaded fine. I'm really stumped, now.

When I first open DS4.6, I expected to get a dialogue telling me it had found new content like the Genesis 2 essentials or genesis 2, but it didn't. Very odd....

Ok--I set up a new directory for G2 and told DS4.6 to look here for DS Content:

    H:\G2\Content

It works like this so I guess it needed to know everything was under "Content" and not "My Library" maybe? I don't know--it beats me, but it works, now. Maybe I've nested my content too deep or something...

I'm using Windows 7, 64 bit (just FYI in case anyone else has this problem).

    Thanks for trying to help.....

As long as the folder path set in Preferences matches the actual folder names in the path to your content folder, it shouldn't matter if you call it "Content", "My Library" or "Chocolate Coated Manhole Cover"; you just have to be consistent. Definitely something weird going on there. You said you reinstalled D|S. Did you reinstall the new G2 Starter Essentials? Your first installation might have glitched somehow.

Well, my version of "install" is a copy/paste since I'm not using DIM but I did try that twice (all 2,179 conflicts happily ignored) :)

I'm going to try the uninstall, reboot, install, reboot, install, reboot method tomorrow. I'm sure something glitched somewhere---I'll re-download the G2 essentials also, just to be sure. I figured it was just me, since I didn't see anyone else post about it. Once I found it worked in Carrara 8.5 beta, I knew something was fishy!

I think I have seen similar error reports, but those were the very first buyers of V6 who'd installed her and tried to load into D|S without installing Genesis 2 (because it hadn't been released yet).

    Computers do weird stuff sometimes...

The problem is most likely between the keyboard and the chair! I'm sure I'm the cause of my problem.

The problem is when you extracted / copied & pasted / dragged & dropped you grabbed the Content folder that is in the DIM zips. Ignore the Content folder, extract only what is inside the Content folder.
