Gen2 and Gen1
First....yes I've read all the tutorials...and my head hurts. You know what I like about playstation? The fact that if you brought a PS2 you could play PS1 games on it, PS3...PS2. That backward compatibility made getting the newer version so much easier on my mind because I knew the games I had purchased just last month...I could still play on the new system.
I thought Genesis was the end all of figures. Yeah there would be more morphs and stuff to add on...but Gen2? No backwards compatibility from Daz. Yes there are tutorials made by many great folks here BUT this is something that Daz should have thought of from jump and released a Gen1 morph transfer when Gen2 came out. Instead of letting the community figure it out so you wouldn't alienate the non tech savvy (me) from even thinking about Gen2. I understand the why not with Gen1 and the old V4 generation....the split between Smith and Micro and Daz....got it. But why does it seem like the same thing but within Daz.
Yes many of you all will say "They've been doing this practice since V1 went to V2" and I agree but don't tell me none of you thought that Genesis was the end all. To me it just seems like they want to make Genesis 1 obsolete to churn up sales by making us buy additional morphs, a new base figure, hair...etc because they won't fit Genesis 1.
I'm disappointed. I expected better and I'm quite sure most would have shelled out the bucks for a Genesis upgrade that incorporated Genesis 2 and Genesis 1 (backward compatibility) just as much (if not more so) those who ended up going the Genesis 2 route.
Love all the tutorials out there made by the community but I still think Daz should have stepped up the game with this new release instead of going back to old tricks.
smh

As much as I agree with many of your sentiments, this has all been mentioned in dozens of threads before and would have probably been better placed as a response to those threads. You only need read some of my own responses on the matter to know you're not alone in feeling this way, but I feel there's a time and a place for everything, and it's high time that we put this argument to pasture.
It's not the end of Genesis 1, at least not yet. So let's not bury it before it's good and dead.
Locked as there are a plethora of other threads on this subject. I link to just one of them here
