Map Transfer and Normals

I'm using Map Transfer to convert skins to V5 UV for use with Genesis 2. I can't get it to convert the normal maps. I got diffuse, bump and specular. Can't it do normals? How about displacement - haven't tried that. What maps can Map Transfer handle?

Teach me map transfer. A link to an already written tutorial would be enough if you happen to have one. Sorry can't help, just leaching at the moment.

You could try applying the normal map to the diffuse colour to convert it, then use the converted map as a normal map afterwards.

SickleYield has tutorial, although I did not use it. I searched Google and these forums for tidbits of information sprinkled throughout. Here is a link to SickleYields tutorial. http://sickleyield.deviantart.com/journal/Tutorial-The-Map-Transfer-Utility-368686796

That is a clever idea, Richard. It did work, in that it saved the images for me. However, the original normal maps were TIFF files and Map Transfer saved JPG. Does that matter. I really don't know what the requirements for normal files are. By the way, I am converting David 5 materials.

the tiff are better quality, but I don't think it should be too noticeable... tiff is normally not required from my experience. Thanks for the link to SY tutorial. I had seen it at one point but never saved the link.
