Need to clean up my install mess

I have daz content scattered for some reason across multiple directories. In users/documents and users/public/documents and in my skydrive/my documents.
what is the best way of consolidating all my assets without creating problems down the line? do I just cut and paste everything into a single directory and then repoint the content manager at the new location? is it easy as that or will I create untold headaches for myself?
really appreciate any advice
thanks

As long as you are using Windows copy and paste is safe, Mac users need to be careful as pasting one folder on top of another with the same name replaces the original rather than merging (depending on the route used and the OS version). You also need to make sure that The DAZ Install Manager is pointing to the folder you want to use in future - click the gear icon at top-right to open preferences, then in the Installation tab add the folder if it isn't there and optionally remove the folders you don't want to use; when installing the Show Details check box will show the folder you are set to install to, and allow you to change it (but note that by default the Install Manager isntalls updates to the same location as the original, and manually moving files won't update that, so you want to either change that setting - OK if you use just the one content directory - or uninstall and reinstall the content so DIM looks in the right place for it).
