Has anyone checked these hair discounts?

The Genesis 2 hair updates on sale now are listed as $19.95 and the description says you get 70% off if you own the original hair. According to my arithmetic a 70% discount should mean I get $13.96 off the full price, but when I put it in my cart I get a $12.47 reduction.

Is the 70% in the description a typing error? Is the store not working out the prices correctly? Or have I forgotten how to do percentages correctly?

I thought that is was taking off the 20%, and then the 50% off the remainder, but that would be 11.97 by my calculations (not often right)

I don;t know what is going on, but my figures agree with yours if that is any help. I'm sure it will get fixed later today.

    EDIT:

There is a large thread here on the hair problmes in the store : http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/24584/

I agree with your calculations, but basic maths says that you can't add percentages like that. If you apply a 20% discount followed by 50% you do not get 70% !

They have fixed it now. It is showing 20% on the product page and when I get to the checkout it is showing the correct discount to go down to 70% off in total.
