I really feel that anything "meaningful" (as in "normal" clothing content) for the original Genesis is pretty much moot.

Genesis "Classic" is dead. Put a fork in it.

never had much luck with Genesis and Poser.

So hot and sunny outside! My medicine makes me sensitive to sunlight so talking walks outside tires me out. trying to decide if I want to use my umbrella on a sunny day to keep that sunlight away from me.

Hmm... I was listening to a song I liked... Youmu Konpaku's themesong in the game she first appeared in... And I decided to look into its origins a bit. WHat I found was - IMO - quite interesting.

Her themesong is "Hiroari Shoots a Strange Bird ~ Till When?".
The wiki article on Youmu had this to say about that:
"Her theme song is titled "Hiroari Shoots A Strange Bird ~ Till When?", named after a story in Taiheiki, which a warrior named Hiroari slays a youkai known as Itsumade. This is an homage to the storyline. Judging from the story of Perfect Cherry Blossom, the heroine plays the role of Hiroari, Youmu is Itsumade, and the corpse is probably Yuyuko Saigyouji."

Now, nothing mentioned anything about a corpse, so I decided to look up what an Itsumade is. This is what I found:

According to the Taihei chronicles, in the autumn of the year 1334, this ominous bird spirit began appearing in the night sky above the capital's ceremonial hall. It would breathe fire and cry in a wretched and eerie voice, Itsumademo! Itsumademo!, ("How much longer?! How much longer?!").

The court nobles were all quite disturbed, and chose an expert archer to shoot the creature down. When the huge bird fell from the sky, it was found to be a chimeric beast with the body of a snake, a human-like face, claws like daggers, and a wingspan of around five meters. Apparently it had appeared around the time of a plague, when the bodies of the innumerable deceased were being dumped on the capital's outskirts. The monstrous itsumaden, it is said, was born from the bitter spirits of all those abandoned dead, and flew about shrieking in sympathy for them.

It is also said that a person allowed to starve to death becomes an itsumaden, which haunts whoever refused to feed it in life, crying Itsumade, Itsumade; "How long, how long?", how long will I be neglected?

Actually quite a sad story D:

I was going to mow the lawn today, but I don't want to. Right now it's 92...but the heat index (feels like) is 102. Eeek.

Complaint: My Muse is AWOL again. If you see her, please buy her a bus ticket back to Tennessee; I'll reimburse you.
In retrospect, I should have known better than to hire a muse with no references and an obvious drinking problem, but she was so cute.

Himself wants to mow the lawn, but I won't let him because it is hot here as well, and he has a dodgy heart.

Speaking of heat index (well somebody was) is there a heat index meter? Or do they just hire a guy to stand outside and tell them how hot it feels to him.
I'm aware of the formulas used (see attached image), but aren't they just as arbitrary, really?

I feel sorry for my brother cause he's a landscaper. I use to have to do roofs in this kind of weather. Needless to say I was very thin and very tanned.

    Complaints:

    - Dry blurry eyes (lack of sleep, old age)
    - Antibiotic makes me feel flat
    - Need way more sleep
    - Sick of bland food already

    Non-complaints:

    -- Tomorrow is Friday
    - Got Sharkman for Genesis in fastgrab
    - Chicken wing money for the weekend
    - Slept more than 3 hours last night

Could be worse. I've been thinking about Olaf a lot, too. I need to spend more time on the Shield-Maidens backstory as I plan on her and Olaf having a few more encounters after the giant chicken!

Apropos of Olaf: Oddly, I fin d myself drawn to writing lots of mock-epic stuff, along with episodic serials. Now, I know I wont make any money off these, but (sigh) I don't see a career change in my future. I'm going to stick to writing what I love, doing illustrations for my stories, and not worry about becoming a World Famous Author since I', already a top-rank engineer. Maybe next incarnation I'll come back as a full-time writer (lol)!

I don't know how anybody feels about me posting my writing most of the time in lieu of renders, I'm resurrecting The Vicky Chronicles and have an occult serial set in New Orleans I'm outlining.. wouldn't be more than a few pages - would people prefer links to my Website for these? The mock epic poems are easy since they're broken up into 5-6 stanza blocks.

Feh, back to work. Feh feh feh. Well, it keeps me in content... (blank face)

FREE THE DAZ SMILEYS! (angry face)

I have sticky, blurry eyes. Maybe not enough sleep, maybe allergy related. I haven't had allergy medicine in about a year now. Insurance dropped coverage for fexofenadine (generic Allegra) and it's too expensive over the counter. They also won't cover Xirtec, which my sister says is better. The fex never did a complete job anyway, as it doesn't cover mold or dust, and dust is a big one for me. I've just been living through it. Actually, I don't find much of a difference, so maybe the fex wasn't doing any good at all.

    Must go eat something.
