Textures - going backwards

Most people tend to convert textures from say V4 to G2 or G3.

I'm wondering if there's a way of going the other way from G2 or G3 to V4?

I have a project that uses lots of V4 content (clothing, morphs etc) but I would like to use some G2 and G3 skin textures with it also.

Before I buy the textures I want to know if this can be achieved.

For example, can the DazStudio Map Transfer facility be used for this?
