AM Lion Probem

I recently purchased the AM Lion, and I can barely open it in the library. Or, once it appears, I can't get it to move, or pose it. I have two computers. One is a pretty new Gateway desktop that has plenty of storage. If it doesn't crash, I can barely pose or move the lion.
So, I installed it in a very new HP laptop with plenty of capability. Same problem! I know the lion is a great product, but why isn't it working for me? Any help is appreciated. The desktop uses Windows 7, and the laptop Windows 8. I have used both Poser 7 and Poser 8 for the lion. Thanks

I have used the DAZ installer. Corrrectly? I suppose.
Even if you have a 64 bit system, both Poser 7 and 8 are 32 bit. They can only make use of the 3G limit of 32 bit.
Here are a couple of older tricks you can try to make P7 and P8 a bit more efficient. Open the general prefs. First, lower the number of undo levels. It defaults to 100. Take it down to ten. Lower the number of renders being cached. Better to save the render to a different file than eat up resources caching them. How many threads depends upon your cores. If you can take the number of cores and double it up to the max of 4. If you have more than 4, just take it up to 4. Render to a separate process. Uncheck automatic update. Any SR's for these versions have to manually downloaded and installed. You can uncheck use external binary morphs if you prefer but it really makes no difference one way or the other.
Make sure you have the latest service releases for both versions.
Alessandro's models can be resource intensive. How does the model and Poser behave if you close Poser, reboot your system, relaunch Poser and add the lion to an empty scene? Is Poser still slow and the model unresponsive?
Thanks for responding! Getting stormy here, so off goes the computer. I will look further later. Thanks again!
Thanks for your suggestions! I did make the preference changes. Maybe a tiny improvement, but not much. I even have trouble with the lion lighting. Every time I check out the latest releases, it seems like I already have them. But I do wonder if I'm applying them correctly.
The sensitivity settings for each dial were extremely low. Increasing the settings is helping!
