Platinum and DAZ Content Manager not working for me
Hi, I'm a member since 2004 but I never get any monthly coupons since maybe 2010-2011. Now I see that I have to pay 6,99$ instead of 1,99$ for Platinum items. Something is certainly wrong. Someone else with the same problem?
I have another problem. My Smart Content is empty. I tried to reimport the database but it didn't help. I read on the forum about DAZ Content Manager not running and it is the case for me. I see it has stopped. But everytime I start the DIM and starts DAZ Studio, DIM stops working. It stops working when I open DAZ Studio. I read about uninstalling DIM but when I try to do that I get some message "Uninstalling DAZ Content Manager service will SEVERELY impact the functionality of all DAZ 3D applications that use this service". Anyone else having the same message? I'm so disapointed because I really like the DIM when it worked at the beginning. It was a fabulous utility. But I put the installed files on another location (because I looked at some DAZ tutorial (video), which explained how to install Products and in this video I Heard that it was better to install Generation3 products in another location). I did that and my DIM never worked properly after that.

If you are a member of the PC then you need to file a support ticket, using Sales as the dept, because you are not currently showing as a PC member. If possible give them the date and order number of your last renewal.
Your first problem with the prices is your not showing as a platinum club member. If your are paying for it then you need to contact support so they can fix it.
Your second problem, the if your CMS has stopped go to your start bar in Windows, browse to the DAZ 3D folder/DAZ Content Management Service/Start DAZ Content Management . DIM shouldn't be effecting the operation of DAZ Studio. There is no reason you should have to uninstall DIM. Just go to where I stated above and restart your CMS

Frank0314, I started DAZ Content Manager in the startbar in the Windows like you mentioned but it's not working for me. My library is still empty. If I do CtrlAltDelete and run the task manager (like I read in some forum here at DAZ), I see that DAZ Content Manager has stopped running. If I do the same (CtrlAltDelete and run the task manager ) without opening DAZ Studio, I see that DAZ Content Manager is running. So it seems that the opening of DAZ Studio makes the DAZ Content Manager to stop running. I don't know why.

It sounds like your CMS database is corrupted. Here's how to reinstall CMS and create a clean database:
1) If you have categorized things yourself, use Content DB Maintenance > Export User Data to back up your categorization.
2) Shut down DS, uninstall CMS, and delete the databases
3) Reinstall DS or DIM to reinstall DIM
4) Start DS and use Content DB Maintenance > Re-Imporr Metadata to restore your user data and the product metadata.
