another DIM question

I have already got quite a few things installed doing the hard yards the old way.
Now I want to install over the top of some of my old stuff which I have in multiple external runtimes. When I choose a folder to install that already has daz stuff in it I get a warning message. I've been ignoring this and just running the installer again. The stuff there was fine, I just want to get the queue in my install manager down to zero to start afresh and also just in case i missed something or there was an update that i missed.
do you think my method is okay? what could go wrong?

The main risk would be that there might be legacy files from the original isntall that had a different name or location to those in the new, DIMmed, version which could be confusing. In DS, with morphs for a TriAx figure, it could cause real problems (for example, the original Genesis Evolution Expressions had a different location in the Data from the update, and so it was possible to have both sets load and the older files would cause an error) - however, that would be a rare issue and for the most part the only risk is your loading an old file by mistake.

that's good. so I might as well just install over the top of all my old external runtimes, and thus clear my queue, making it obvious to me which files have been installed and which haven't.
