I found a website full of models for Max 3D (http://www.freebie3d.com/en/)
I was wondering if it is possibly to use these files in daz 3D?
Thank you!

Not natively. You'd need to convert them to *.obj in a program that can open *.3ds files. Hexagon and Blender can both do this.

I recognize a lot of those models from other freebie sites that done make you jump through hoops or have an account to recieve them.

However, if you do download something you want to convert, take a look at my tutorial here - 3D Model Conversions Tutorial: http://www.mediafire.com/view/?adtf0812j6py43i

FYI on that freebie3D site if make an account using FaceBook from their supplied link it will try and force something called freebie stock to mine your personal data if you let it. If you don't it won't stop asking.

That doesn't surprise me. The entire site is data mining. It's like Google images for 3D content.
