DIM and Content Manager

Is there a way to prevent DIM from auto-categorising my items in the Content Manager?
I want to categorise everything myself.

It's not a big problem with new items I install. I can look them up right after I installed them (highlighted in blue) and put them in my own made categories.

But it's annoying when DIM installs an update of an item. It puts everything again in their default (auto) categories and leaves the old items that I moved to my own categories untouched. Very difficult to trace, because they are not highlighted in blue anymore, like the newly installed items.
