Callout (product request) for Zev0: Hand&Finger; Impact Morphs

I made this request earlier, but it was initially in the freepository request topic (>_<), then turned into its own thread (akwardly titled), and I didn't articulate myself very well.</p>

Something I'd REALLY like to see for Genesis, and you're the only person I can think of with the skills to do this-- it's a BIG request (for a commercial product, not a freebie-- I wouldn't ask for something this hefty for free...!)

Impact morphs for Genesis hands and fingers-- because I am sick and tired of the half-assed clenched fists and grasps that pervade well... not just Genesis, but all DAZ and Poser figures in general. Action poses are just never convincing because there are no impact morphs for the hands and feet (something is also needed for the feet-- impact morphs would also be nice for planted feet, but I'm not sure how useful they'll be for footwear-- I think the Sickle Rigging System would be needed, in order to add some er... flattening...? spread? at the sides near the bottom for planted feet, and also some creases/wrinkling at the top bend of the foot and upper front ankle area. I don't have that product yet, so I don't know if it's already included, or if the product even works that way.)
In case I'm not making this clear enough, I'm referring to something like your "Glute and Breast Movement" product, except for the hands and fingers. Probably, what would work best (if at all possible) is a combination of dial morphs for each segment of each finger +thumb individually, plus each finger + thumb individually, plus each segment of all 4 fingers individually, and a morph for all 4 fingers-- and of course ones for the palms as well. And, probably a major one, but a "preset" dial for a clenched fist. Or, maybe it would be easier/better to simply have preset dials (e.g. pole-shaped item, fist, strap or handle hanging off of fingers, thick handle *e.g. milk jug*, tight ring, things like that.) ...Well, obviously, it would be your product, so you'd be going about it however you think best. But seriously, PLEASE make something like this...! Genesis (and Genesis 2 I guess) simply aren't complete without squishy hands...!

There are clearly other areas where impact morphs are needed (such as the abdomen, unless your recent product dealing with that area includes impact morphs), but the hands are where it is by far the most noticable, and to my eyes at least, have the most impact (ugh, bad pun) It actually took me some time to figure out where it was the worst-- I look at an action-type pose (e.g. a flying kick), and it just doesn't look convincing-- the character simply doesn't look very tensed up-- it looks like a half-assed effort. Not long ago, I tried to determine precisely what elements were responsible for this.
My conclusion is that the primary offender is the hands and fingers, when it comes to both grasping and clenching a fist. Another offender is the neck, since a natural, trained, or even instinctual combat stance involves the shoulders tensed, head bowed, and neck uh... scrunched down...? (not sure how to articulate this)

I don't know if this has been addressed or not, but it would also be nice to see the impact problem with Muscularity, Swole, Freak5 Super, and some of Genesis's other morphs (Freak 4 does not have this problem, but only in pure Freak4 form...)

Oh, and if it hasn't been done already, something to soften the muscularity detail on the buttocks and upper half of the thighs a bit (for the muscular ladies-- maybe something that reverses the Evolution muscularity Bodybuilder and Fitness detail) The current Glute and Breast Movement package doesn't fix this problem (though Die Trying's morphs do help a tad) But still, it'd be really nice to be able to make a muscular woman (think She-Freak after a big workout as she anticipates the OIympics), but maintain a bit of lower-body femininity by giving her buttocks and upper thighs a thin fat layer...

The impact morph options do sound intriguing but as for basic poses like the flying kick or round house poses nothing stops you from adjusting the pose (figure) to be posed as you see it should look. I often start with a load pose and then edit it to be what I want it to be. In truth I do not think I use any pose right out of the box anymore unless its just a quick example of something. I edit them by hand all the time. The rest of the impact things you discuss I'm not sure I follow 100% so I'll refrain from commenting on it until I understand your goals better.

Lol there are lots of other people with the skills to do this. But thanks:) The question is, is it viable as a product? I agree with the fist and impact scenario. Main problem here is the fingers are too long and thin by default. For that I dial finger thickness\length and add smoothing collision (max value of 3) on Genesis so when it impacts a prop, it looks like it is colliding properly or even play with the deformers. In terms of smoothing morphs on legs buttox etc on certain presets, I will see what can be done. (actually have this drafted up) Thing is I have so many projects I am busy with and to consider another one at this time will put me in an early grave lol. But I will look into it regardless, since I am all for figure improvements:) But I cannot make any promises. I am already seriously behind schedule lol.

Yes, there is. The fingers penetrate into one another. Including the fingertips and the thumb (thumb is the worst). In order to avoid this, the fist cannot be clenched very tightly at all-- to the point that it doesn't even look like a fist and looks more like Genesis is holding a very small object inside the hand. (Edit: I was thinking back to back before I got the Evolution morphs or knew about clicking on the finger segments for pose parameters. Which helps, but the fingers still don't press against the 1st and 3rd finger bones like a real fist would and still look half-assed)

Oh. I'm still a total a noob so I don't really understand how to use the collision smoother yet. But how do you fix the fingers when they collide with other fingers, the thumb, the palm, the hip, or any other part of Genesis? (come to think of it, that's another point of annoyance-- hands on hips poses)
Oh, and I agree the fingers (and often the palms as well, IMO) are too long and thin-- I always thicken them on all my models-- esp. the last fingerbone (the fingers taper waaaay too much on Genesis IMO)
