It sounds as if you need to have the object that you are importing form MD selected, and not the Genesis figure itself. I don't have MD, so can you please give a link to the video.
I don't have that option either, so it is not an error in DAZ Studio.
No its not a MD problem, its a daz problem as you can clearly see here:

his Daz Studio has "Create clothing" ..mine ( and yours? ) not...
when looking at the internet i find some peopel sayign they have this option and others dont.. but we all use Daz Studio 4.6 pro wich should include content creator toolkit?!
Edit: after seeing the linked video, that isn't a built-in function, I suspect it's a custom script.
strange... in whatever video they tell me to use create clothing in assets...
what is thsi custom script then?
It looks to me as though Marvelous Designer, the product which the video is demonstrating, is a 3rd Party (not DAZ) product that creates basic clothing for figures based on several generic clothing objects that probably come with the product. Then, they are fitted to a figure based on a script that is similar to the Transfer Utility which does indeed come with Daz Studio.
I don't see Marvelous Designer in the DAZ store, so I imagine you must buy this somewhere else. Perhaps after installing Marvelous Designer, there is a plugin that needs to be activated before it shows up in the Asset context menu?
I have tracked down this thread for you, seemingly Create Clothing was on in earlier versions ot DS4, you now have to use the Transfer Utility.

ahh thank you , now that makes sense, il do this thank you =)
It's OK to post a direct link, if you wish - and thank you for making the script available.
