Strange message in Daz over Rv2.

Hi folks.

Just a quick question.

After grabbing DS 4.6 and sorting everything out, when I click on the reality render 2 link I get this:


"Warning: Could not start the Reality Engine. The script Reality.dse was not found or could not be started. It could be that your using a version of Studio that is too old. Please verify the installed version with the requirements for Reality."

Now, ok... I know its not DS as its the latest one. I downloaded the 64Bit win7 version of LuxRender so that should be ok too (I believe you need Lux for it to work...or am I wrong?!).

Can anyone help me with this please as I am totally stuck!!!

    The version of Reality that I have installed is

    Version:
    2.50.0.112


    If you go to Help > About Installed Plugins, it should tell you what version you have. You may need to update it.

    Ok JimmyC.... I took a look and it says this:


    Plug-in:
    Reality Engine
    Author:
    Paolo Ciccone - Pret-a-3D.
    Version:
    2.50.1.122

    Anything else it could be???

    It seems to be the correct version, you may need to try re-installing it again. Does Reality appear in the render menu?

    Are you sure you have installed the correct bit depth of the Reality ;plugin (64 bit)?

    Ok JimmyC..... I re-installed everything again and apart from some issues with genesis not showing up on the left side (which I have now kind of worked out so it works!) everything else is great!!

    Now I just need to mess about with Lux/Reality and figure out the best setttings....... *Sigh..... Looks like a few nights of reading ahead.. lol

    PS: Just for my sake, any chance you can tell me how I can post a picture in a post? Cant seem to embed one. Is there some way to do that as I would like to post some pics later on.

    at the bottom there should be a choose file button, right above the submit post button.

    There is a link to the previous thread (even bigger) on the first page.

    There used to be a very long thread here on reality as well, but I can't find a link at the moment. If you Google Pret a 3D, you should find the Reality site, and I believe that there is a forum there as well.

    As TheKD says, there is a button above where you add your post called 'Browse', and after you have written what you want to say, and before posting, click on it and find the image you want to post on the forum. I think there is a problem if you use JPG instead of jpg, so make sue it is in lower case letters. It will accept png as well.
