Genesis Wicked Stockings for G2 Not Working in Poser

Hi - I just installed the new Wicked Stockings into both PoserPro2014 and DS 4.6. I am on a PC clone rig with LOTS of memory (24gigs), and a pretty standard video card.

When I load the stockings in DS 4.6, all is fine. They work well.

But in Poser, though they appear in the library in the appropriate folder, when I double click on them, I get an error message. See the attached picture.

Please note that ALL other recently installed DSON-Poser clothing works fine(!) in PP2014. This is the only time I have seen this error message. Thanks for any tips or pointers. (Note: the clothing was installed - as are ALL my DSON items - to the core Poser runtime - not to any external drive.

Thanks for any tips or assistance.

Could you go to the folder, open the CR2 file in a text editor, and paste the first half dozen or so lines, down to and including, the line with runPythonScript, please.

Thanks Richard - below is a screenshot of the cr2 in a text editor. Hope this helps.

Do I need to install the python file in my python folder? Thanks.

Is that .py file in the folder with the CR2?

Yes, it appears to be! Below is a screen cap of the Club 58 Dress CR2 which I also opened in CR2 Editor. Similar file, but this one produces the dress instantly with no problems. Both cr2 files - wicked stockings and club 58 - are 1kb in size.

Check that the Python scripts are identical - they don't contain any unique code. And teble check that the Wicked Stockings /py file has the right name.

Sir, I am not a programmer. I am not responsible for the error here. Can somebody contact the manufacturer to make sure she knows about this error and is correcting it?

    Hi,
I was not aware of any error until this thread. The stockings work perfectly here on my machine with Poser 2012 so I cannot replicate what is happening to you sorry :/

Hi Xena - have you tested them, or have any of your testers tested them, in PP2014? That's what I'm using, thanks.

The Python script is very short - it should be immediately apparent if there's an issue. But I think a file name error is the most likely problem, given the error message.

I just re-downloaded the zipped files for the stockings and installed to BOTH PP2012 and PP2014. Same result. Same error message.

    Hi Miketee,
I don't know what to tell you. I re-downloaded the zip files and compared them to the files I uploaded and they are exactly the same, line for line. The load just as they should in Poser 2012.
I'm not sure what version of Poser QA uses, but I don't see why they'd work in one version and not the other - but from what you are saying, they don't work in any version of Poser for you.All I can suggest that you put in a bug report to Daz.
    Sorry I couldn't be more help ):

OK - a bug report it is.

Thank you. And sorry once again I couldn't help you.

I wonder if this happened to anyone else? Considering how many sales I've had so far I'd have thought if it did someone would have posted by now. Hopefully it's just a little glitch that Daz can work out real quick for you (:

Hi Xena - things just got weirder. I installed the stockings using the Daz Content Manager installer, and linked Poser to the appropriate runtime. The stockings DID load...but did not work for Genesis 2. No amount of tweaking could get them to fit her properly. They DID work for Vicky 5, and fit her damn near perfectly (about 99.5% perfect). Maybe that's a clue. Opening the cr2 in a cr2 editor produces an idential result to that posted above. Same text. Hope this helps.

Well that's just odd. They aren't even the same shape as Victoria 5. You didn't load the original version by any chance did you?

OK - I checked. The originals are available for Poser as well as Daz. I am doing an install into my main runtime for the originals now. The originals load up just fine in PP2012. At least that's solved! Yes - I think there was confusion on my part as to the originals versus the ones for Genesis 2. But that still hasn't solved the error messages re: Genesis 2. OK - 'nuff said. I will just go ahead and file a bug report. Thanks.
