Problems with - Instant Rainbow of Makeup - product for Genesis

Hi folks,

I am sure there is something simple here I'm missing. I purchased and installed thru DIM the makeup set for Genesis and V4, Instant Rainbow of Makeup. Everything appears to have installed correctly, however when applying any of the scripts that come with the set the skin area around the applied script is colored black.

For example, if I apply a blush to my model, I can see the blush, but, the face itself is colored black. So I have normal body skin tone, black face, and red blush. When I look at the diffuse map that the script selects, it indeed looks to be the blush color I selected surrounded by a black background. However I'm betting that's not really how it's supposed to appear on the face.

Has anyone any experience with this product, or can give me a clue on how to rectify this? I'm working with the original Genesis for this idea because I have more morphs for her than the newer V6 and I'm still learning.

I've attached a screenshot of what i am getting after applying a Blush. Thanks in advance!

Almost ALL makeups are applied with just the FULL figure selected in the Scene Tab. No need to select the head and a Mat Zone in the Surfaces. Try just applying the makeup with the full figure selected.

Thanks, gave that a try, no go. Same result. I actually think I tried that first. The screenshot above was me trying to get it to work by directly picking where to apply it. The result looks the same both ways.

Hi, I have used this product before with no problems. Have you checked the UV setting in the surfaces tab is on Genesis or V4? Are you using a V5 texture by mistake? If not it might be best to send the vendor a PM and ask for their help :)

    Hi Miswish,

Yes, I double checed the UV settings and tried it on both V4 and Genesis female, same result on both.

I did some playing around this morning and and I think I found my problem.. If I apply the " Sample Lana - no Gen" material that comes with the genesis starter essentials to the model I am able to apply the makeup with no trouble, everything works. It's when I am attempting to apply it to the neutral gray - or the skin material on the model above (which comes from the "supersuit for genesis" product, and I suspect isn't really a skin at all) that I have problems. I think I need to have some type of skin material applied before I attempt the makeup?

So I think it has something to do with the skin material I chose. I can use the Lana skin and just play around with the settings a bit to get the look I want.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Sure is a lot to learn with Daz, but it's a lot of fun too.
