I made a little change last night, but can't seem to get the result to upload, so I guess I'll try again later this evening or tomorrow.

Edit- It had uploaded but wasn't showing up on my side where I could tell that it had.

The change was adding a new character patroling and pausing to glance our way as they come up on the room the camera is in.

Welcome to the new user challenge, I would like to advise you not to publish your email adress like this in the forums.

Now let me ask, I understood that you modeled that skyrider yourself? That is pretty awesome. For your renders I would like to ask you to make the landscape around it a bit more the focus. In the moment it looks like the typical car advertisement. For a cool thing like the skyrider I would like to challenge you to give it an inspiring futuristic touch, where I could imagine it shining to its fullest beauty.

This is very cool! If the skyrider is moving, how about some leave/dirt displacement? Or even a wee bit of heat distortion at rear.

    Cool man!

Finally 2 Weeks off from work.

That's the current state of my Image. :) I like it so far. And finally Bryce start to warm up to me. XD

I don't like that some of my trees got lost, thanks to the haze, but I guess that is one of things we are soposed to learn with this challenge. :)

Now I'm thinking if I should keep it as it is. A Semi realistic render and just enhance shadows and highlights or if I go bold und try to make it a b/w or waterpaint image.

Very nice, I'm glad bryce is growing on you! How about you move some of the trees to the very front reaching onto camera view, so we get that distance relation check?

I have a weakness for Black and white images.   Managed to produce on or two purely in Bryce, with no Postwork  https://www.daz3d.com/gallery/#images/1185

I only wanted to get this idea out of my system.

    What are your thoughts?

I would use a photo filter to make it monochrome, rather than just desaturate it.  You don't actually have enought difference in colour temperatures to make a successful black and white image without some manipulaiton as with an actual filter.    I hope you don't mind,  but I did this using a FilterForge filter

    I don't mind, but it isn't just desaturated. ;)

To be honest I didn't use desaturation functions at all. I use a gradiant map to keep the informations how colors interact with light.

Nice filter btw. Sadly I don't know such filters for KRITA. Hence I use conventional techniques from photographers to process b/w images.

Ah  I mostly use a set of photofilters by Optiverve lab   http://www.optikvervelabs.com/      I used the filterforge one because I had filerforge booted up doing something else.

Oi, thanks a lot for the link :)

And I think maybe my vigniette is too strong. That could make the impression of a weak "color" range.

But I think I will stick to a colored picture. As I said, I wanted the idea mainly out of my head. And I think everybody here knows this urge. XD

I've been experimenting with Depth of field. I moved the flowers and lowered the opacity of the fog props. I think this has improved the image.

    This is my final image.

    Plain and simple.

Only a little enhancements on the shadows and highlights. Nothing fancy. Looks the best here, I think.

    Without a name

    Software Used:

DAZ Studio: Dragon3 models, textures and their posing

Bryce: Landscape model and textures, lighting, HDRI, tree models, render

KRITA: Enhancing highlights and shadows, as well es error corections like fireflys and other pixelerrors.

I've spent most of the month being intimidated by this contest - I've only ever used HDRis and/or premade sets for landscapes, and that really didn't seem to fit the spirit of the challenge. I'm also not a Bryce or Hexagon user. But I was poking around the Medieval Garden set, which has an amazing variety of settings, and I suddenly remembered that in the posing challenge, the challenge was to pick an image of a pose and try to match in in Daz. So, after much kitbashing and a little bit of hair-pulling, I came up with this (click for full size):

A Tribute to Monet (no postwork other than signature):

A Tribute to Monet (postwork in GIMP):

I'd really love to hear what people think, especially about the differences between the two versions. I have issues with postwork - I'll overwork or underwork the image, and I have trouble telling until someone else points it out to me.

    Thanks!

Just a couple of things before calling it finished.

The horse looks like it is floating. Try Ctrl/d to drop it to the ground. If it is already there then find some grass props and place it around the feet.

I would either remove the tree altogether or move it out of view as, at first, I thought it was the edge of the backdrop.

I added grass and extra flowers to the ground for this render.

Thanks a lot for participating everybody! I'm glad you stepped forward with your work there @LaPetiteVerita I think you did a very good job there and using post work like that really helps to bring out the colours.

Thanks to Fishtales for the announcement,

The challenge is now officially closed!

    See you soon for Portraits!

Thanks! I'm really happy - this has ended up being one of my favorite renders to date, so the win feels really special. And congrats to all the other winners, too!
