legacy rigging for clothing

Okay ... since the Nuts 'N Bolts hasn't received any posts telling me I'm wrong and how to do this ...

IS there a way to make legacy clothing to "fit to" the older figures? In D/S3 we used "paste to selected figure", an option which has vanished. [4.5] And following what appears to be the logical route results in nothing wearable. So either this was totally borked for D/S4.x or the 'how to' instructions are very much required. thank you.

    Check the Modified Selected Figure box at bottom-left of the Figure setup pane.
