A3 Pose adjust for Genesis

Has anyone made a A3 Pose Adjust for Genesis, so that A3 Poses can be used on Genesis...sort of like how someone made a V4 Pose Adjust, so that V4 poses could be used without modifying every one?

OK, I am guessing that is a "no"? I figured out what needs to be done, so I will go ahead and see if I can make it.

Well, I don't know about anybody else, but I'd love something like this. I've got about a billion poses (okay, maybe a hundred...) for A3 that I'd love to see converted. I don't know if this is even possible, considering how vastly different the rigging is, but I'll watch anybody give it an honest go and praise them mighty should they succeed. Best of luck and watching this space eagerly.

I thought I figured it out, but then realized I missed the rButtock/lButtock. You have to "add" them to the thigh, and since they don't transfer to Genesis at all, you cant use the same process as the V4 Adjust script.

So...instead I would need to change the process so that you (1) load A3 and (2) load Genesis...(3) pose A3, then (4) run script. It would take the parameters from A3 and copy them to Genesis, and adjust them. That way it can read the lButtock/rButtock value. (otherwise, it would need to read the pz2 file, and I am not a fan of parsing files)

I should be able to do it, I just need to figure out how to select a figure that is not the currently selected figure, via script. I haven't found an example yet.

Did you try Posemaster by Cridgit? I think it was made exactly for this purpose. It used to be sold here in DAZ store but now it is in another store.

    What fun is that?! :0)

No I did not see that, but I did see Puppeteer...but I'm cheap, and I like to pretend at being a programmer

I figured my question out, so tomorrow I should be able to post something that I hope works. Just got to make all the adjustments.

OK, so I got it pretty close. The A3 shape for Genesis is a little off, so that makes it not as perfect. It's good enough for me, but you will still need a little adjustment. :0) The buttock/thigh combination also presents a challenge, as its not consistent, pose to pose, how those transfer.

In any case, it make the pose on Genesis closer to the "intent" of the A3 pose, I think. There are some examples attached, which are also included in the download. Pics on the left are before, on the right are after. Thigh bends, abdomen and fingers are a large part of the changes.

It's all clay color, so I think it's OK to post. (they are 2 of mattymanx poses, and default pose in the picture) In these examples, I did not make any additional adjustments.

Here is a LINK to the download

I've downloaded and have been able to play a little bit with your creation and have been happy with the results...although maybe not as you had intended. I don't have the A3 shape for Genesis so I just used a "raw" female figure and it still seems to work quite well. There are a few minor adjustments to make, mostly with the feet, but these are of a slight consideration insofar as I'm concerned. Thank you for putting this out in the community as it gives me a lot more options to use all these A3 poses I have with a whole new generation of figures. If I get a chance this weekend I'll try to post some of my results.

Yea, no problem, glad its working out. You can always adjust the numbers. Basically, pose them how you like out of t-pose, then use those adjustment numbers as offsets.

Also, I did add a scale for shorten the shoulder and lengthen the forearm (which matches A3 better, when using the A3 shape). You may want to comment those "paragraphs" out. Just put a /* before it, and a */ after it.
