I put in a request trying to find a shader of this sort a while ago. I imagine it's a really easy shader to create! But, I would love it a lot! Would be fun on plaid outfits, for sure, but could also make for some cool space-silhouette effects!

The Shades of Life shaders already do this for 3delight, I'm not aware of a pre-made option for Iray.

You might be able to do something with Iray decals but it’d be tricky
