I am not an expert by nay means, but to me that sounds like you have a mis-match between the version of DCC and Daz Studio - or have, maybe, not installed DCC into the right location.

If you go to your Product Library and enter "dynamic clothing" as the filter you should find this What you should see is a list of 4 files (2 for MAC, 2 for PC, 2 for 32-bit, 2 for 64). Download the correct version for your platform. You should get a file with 1.3.0.18 in the name (the final number (.18 in this case) should match the equivalent number in DS version.

Install that (if it asks to uninstall previous version, say yes), and make sure that the install location is where the Daz Studio program is actually installed to (NOT where you put your content).

Nevertheles, if the installation went wrong he should even have the Basic Dynamic Cloth plugin available, which is included in the basic DAZ Studio installation.

thelord_lord, I'd check first if maybe the tickbox for the plugin got deactivated accidentally.

For this, in DAZ Studio choose "Help" and "About Installed Plugins" from the menu bar.
Then scroll down to the "Dynamic Cloth Plugin" entry. It should have eiter a "- Basic" or "- Control" designation.
On the left of this entry is the tickbox, make sure it shows a yellow tagmark. On the right of this entry there is also an indicator which shows the status of the plugin. It has the shape of a plug connector. If it shows in green, the plugin is loaded and all is right. If it shows in red the plugin isn't loaded and something is wrong. If you click on the entry, in the infobox at the bottom there might be a notofication what's wrong with it.

If there isn't any entry you can check manually if the plugin was installed to the correct directory:

In your DAZ Studio directory (where the "DAZStudio.exe" is located) there is a directory called "plugins". In there should be the DCC pluin file which name is "dzoptitexclothcontrol.dll". There should also be a file named "dzoptitexclothbasic.dll.basic". The last one will be created during the full version DCC plugin installation.
If there aren't any of the above dlls, then there should be a "dzoptitexclothbasic.dll" at least.

If you have installed the plugin while DAZ Studio was running, you have to restart it first to have the plugin working correctly.

You do need to have purchased the plugin, and to have entered the serial number, to use it -if you haven't, you need to uninstall the control plugin to reactivate the free basic plugin.

Thanks a lot for the help
I uninstalled the plug-in and i got it back to work but when i install the plug-in again it gets back to asking me about the serial and i can not find that serial in my account any where

There should be a record of the purchase in your accont otherwise you couldn't download the plug-in so fill in a support ticket via Help from the top menu of this forum stating the Purchase reference number to help them help you quicker.

Have you purchased the Dynamic Clothing Control plugin? It isn't a freebie, the basic version included with DS fulfils that role.

I have purchased the plugin and it wont install, just says it can't find the Daz3D install path and quits.....
that would be the DIM default install path for Daz3D on windows 7 64bit

Was DAZ Studio installed with DIM, and you're trying to install the Dynamic Cloth Control through DIM?

Yes DAZ3D was installed using DIM. Dynamic Cloth Control uses an older stand alone installer and does not give me the option to select an install path, I can't even determine where it is trying to find DAZ3D

That's a known issue they're working on. You can install the Dynamic Clothing Control using DIM.

Enlighten me please :)Open DIM click the Gear, click Downloads and scroll down click Plugins.

EDIT: Nope Dynamic not a option. Sorry. You can go to My Products and Download DS as the exe and Install. It will install OVER the DIM install and create the ini file needed. Nothing will change in your DS, all the settings will stay the same.

From this I'm guessing the Dynamic Plugin is now installed and working.

Thank you Jaderail. You helped me without knowing. I was having trouble installing the plug-in in the 64 bit version of Daz Studio. It installed in the 32 bit version just fine. It turns out the 32 bit version was installed using the installer and the 64 bit was installed with DIM. I installed 64 bit using the installer and now the plug-in installs fine.
