It is put into the Parameters Pane under Resolution Level as an option, but you will still need to save the figure in a Scene or Scene subset from the File > Save As menu

Yes, that seems to work. I created LOD_136020 and it appeared in the resolution level. Then I save the character in a scene and loaded it back, but the lod_136020 was not in the resolution level just base and high resolution.

I have tried this myself, and the only way I can find to save the LOD is by using the FBX format.

Select the figure, export as FBX, and then reimport to DAZ Studio. Decimator is normally used for gaming figures which need to be fairly low poly, so maybe that is the reason. I can't find any other way at the moment, maybe someone else knows a different way?
