I'm really on the fence with this one.  I'm liking the images @Artini is doing with this product and Sketchy.  I wish I had baought Sketchy when it was discounted big time over the weekend.  UGH.

    Thanks a lot, tkdrobert.

I only use light setup, that comes with Sketchy,

but the images at the beginning of the thread were made only with Daz Studio default lights and "headlamp on".

What I like best about Manga Marker Materials is their simplicity to use.

It is almost like having a "Make Art" button.

All the other NPR solutions, previously released, requires a lot of thinking and practice.

But of course, it is just my opinion on that topic.

I agree with your statement about past NPR products.  I haven't really invested in G8 yet, but I like what I see using this product.  I hope @Canary3d expands on this and makes more manga shafers for props and such.

    Looks great, dkgoose.

Is this iray render? Or you needed to switch to 3Delight to use it with Line Render9000?

The update is live! If you re-download it should have the added "Skin Matching" shaders in it now.  You can find them with the shader presets (next to clothing & hair) in a folder called "Skin Matching."  Or search in smart content for "skin base seamless" in the filenames.

These are outstanding! Thank you for such a wonderful product!

Here are a couple of renders. With the Manga Marker Materials product.

Here are the same two renders with some minor post work:

Incredible product! Thank you for your hard work and making such a cool product (I love all the add-ons - the hair shaders and clothing shaders and backgrounds all added to this product make it an awesome deal)!

Shame this is just for G8. Looks pretty useful.

Everything in the "skins" "eyes" "eyebrow" "lashes" and "nails" folders load onto Genesis 3 Female characters. The only mats that do not load are the Sakura 8 mats and the hierarchical material presets (but there aren't that many of them).

Then its a given that if they work on G3F They can work on G3M too?

Thanks, everyone, for the kind words and the great renders.

A little more info about the presets--the hierarchical material presets don't have any additional textures attached to them--they are just "quick start" presets so you don't have to individually apply skin, eyebrows, eyelashes, and eyes.  I basically just applied a nice looking combination for each skin color from the different options and saved it as a hierarchical preset.

Sakura uses the same textures as G8F, but her presets are needed to apply the new UV to her eyeballs. And her eyebrow presets are color-only presets for her prop brows. Otherwise her presets are the same as the regular G8F ones.

@Canary3D I'm still using your Manga Markers on a regular basis. I love them! I'm not too good at applying them to G8M, and would love a set of skin materials for male figures, but understand that this may not be cost effective. If you make another Manga Marker-Style Set I'd snap it up in an instant!

Anyone have any luck applying these to G8M?
