It is Victoria 6's Birthday!
Vicky 6 is one month old today! So far I don't have her, nor have I done much with G2F. Gia is not my type of girl, so I won't be buying her. What I would like to know from those of you that have gone down the Genesis 2 road is what you have liked and not liked about her, and what you would like to see in the future. Please don't rehash the old gender split argument.
If you have not bought into the G2F frenzy, what would get you interested. For me it is going to be a character that expands beyond what has already been done in prior generations. Gia does that IMO, but as I said, she is not my kind of girl.
So, post your ideas, tips, renders, opinions, whatever - but lets have a celebration, not a bashing. Plenty of that elsewhere if you need to vent. :-)

The only thing I like about her is that she has an eye surface and G1 does not. That was G1's biggest flaw. I was able to transfer all my G1 morphs over to her. That being said, I am likely making the move back to V4 myself, I have lots of characters to work with, lots of better quality clothes(movement morphs, open morphs, hell some of my clothes might have more morphs than V4 :P ).
Greetings,
I love the default G2F character's look; it feels so much more personable than the generic GBF; I'm sure it's just something about the face, but I have been surprisingly happy rendering an unmorphed G2F.
I also really like the Udane hair, which came with the V6 Pro Pack.
The V4 -> G2F conversion kit is so good that I've actually spent upwards of $200 on new V4 content since G2F's release purely to auto-fit it to her, when I actively avoiding V4 content before that.
The problem with 'expanding beyond prior generations' is that the core human 'types' have been explored in Gen4 and Genesis. I'm not sure what would be so far outside of the norm that it hasn't already been created in one of those generations.
The biggest issue I have at this point is not being able to carry my GenX'ed morphs over easily. I did a GenX of MRL Gabi recently (adorable character), and I would LOVE to have been able to do it to G2F to get all the bend, expression, and pose goodness that came along with that. When the biggest concern is that a 3rd party app isn't updated yet, that's pretty good IMO. :)
I would say that the clothes that are being released for G2F/V6 are a little...underwhelming, for the most part, but I shouldn't really expect otherwise. Even if all the sites that sell content upgraded, the dominant set of clothes would still be underwhelming, as it seems the same everywhere.
I also have noticed a marked uptick in DAZ forum engagement recently, and whether that's an outgrowth of V6 or not, it is massively, deeply, and heartfelt-ly appreciated.

G2F gave me a new free good rigging, some free expressions and some good non-free morphs to use with my Genesis. She is a very generous donor.
*sunglasses in CSI: Miami style*
Just before V6's release, I posted a render of a pregnant V5. The best thing about V6 being only a month old is she doesn't require breast feeding.
*LOL* There, I said what my favorite thing I like best about her. ;)
I bought the V6 pro pack and regretted it. Genesis 2 is a lot of 'meh'.
I like the look of gen2/V6 and I would love to jump on the G2 bandwagon, but until i can get back most of the useability I had with G1 ( use of gen 4 morphs, clothes, maps, poses, etc) with G2, i see no reason to purchase anything G2 related. It's kinda nice though, it gave me a chance to spend less time in this community and more time gaming and working on game addons,
Once Gen x for G2 comes out and I can get my custom G1 FBMs into G2, I'll give her more of a chance.
But what if A6 were to come out right now and is cuter than A3 and more beautiful than A5? ;)
...I'm with you there as I use GenX for most of my characters.
...and when Zevo releases the Growing Up morphs and a couple additional Clones become available (like A3, and Steph4) I may give this more thought as right now, V6G2F are too limited for my needs.
Transferred all my Genesis morphs over to G2F, made a few morphs of my own for her and played with her a bit out of curiosity then went back to Genesis 1 which I feel is still the superior figure.
It's like the Aiko 3 figure which I got when it was free. It sits there as an interesting curiosity I play with every now and then but ultimately Genesis is my workhorse figure.
I'm very happy with v6. I haven't used v5 much at all since V6's debut. I really appreaciate v6's flexibility, and facial expression which looks more real to me.
I wonder if I should bother writing up a Horoscope chart for Vicky 6... :)
Well, I just used her for the first time yesterday, so here is my feedback:
1) I still really, really like her shape, in that regard I actually do think she's the 'best' Victoria.
2) I still find the way that her arms bend weird.
3) Using a combination of bump maps and normal maps makes her Belle texture borderline unusable in Reality, at least for the time being.
4) Not numbering her materials makes her an absolute horror to work with in anything other than the DS surface tab.
So, unless no.4 is taken care of, I doubt I'll use her much. I like the figure, but I also like not pulling my hair out every time I use her with Reality.
The only G2F thing I've purchased is the v4 to G2F conversion autofit clone/shape/UV. I don't really care for V6 to buy her and I really, really like Gia because she's different. (Saving up for her though.) Then there's talk about Girl 6. I like Girl (her head shape specifically, I use it a lot with Genesis.) So I'm just waiting to see if she finally convinces me to invest in G2F.
Excuse me, what are you calling as V4->G2F conversion kit? Just curious… ;-)
