Scripted 3Delight

I'm getting some promising results with Scripted 3Delight Point-based Occlusion but I'm a bit fuzzy on the details (utterly clueless) could someone more knowledgeable fill me in? I.e. what does it do,how does it do it and what does this button do?

Thanks :) I was hoping for the "Scripted 3Delight for Dummies" but there's quite a bit of useful info there...
