Hi guys. I have a friend that is the author of a great comic story named "Wanted Hero". May be you already know it or not... it doesn't matter. He had an accident and is no drawing anymore... now I'm thinking that it would be great if with the help of DAZ Studio, 3DMax on Vray to do the images that I dream. The problem is that of course I can find any character similar to the ones he created. So the question is there any software that let me create a customized face? a break nose. big eyebrows. big eyes... THis is a sample of the principal character I want to do in 3D Wendell

Thanks!

It all depends on how specific you want it to be. If accuracy is your goal, then you might have difficulties with more cartoon style characters. The ones available for Daz tend to be in their own unique style and while figures like Genesis can benefit from mixing and matching, it would be difficult to get a close match for what you're after.

If you have the money though, you can always look at Zbrush. It's expensive, but is easily one of the most powerful sculpting tools around for creating strong facial features.

Well, the possibilities are many. Keep your eyes on it.
Also, let your mind open ... With an open mind, we can see new possibilities ...
For example: Here are two characters that buying hair, and some accessories, the store you can approach the character you're looking for:
    http://www.3duniverse.co.za/store/product/?3D-Universe-HiroToon-4 (requires Hiro 4)
    http://www.3duniverse.co.za/store/product/?Jason-for-Genesis-Character (requires Genesis)

    or
    you can pay someone to create them in 3d, for you;
    or
    can try this:
    http://manga.smithmicro.com/
    http://manga.smithmicro.com/characters.html

Beautiful! Thanks Jorge I forgot that software (Manga) but I already know DAZ Studio and Jason is very close to the character. Now a question... Have the product "Genesis Evolution: Head Morphs" the ability to modify the character Jason for example... or any other? or it have many limitations... I means ... just change the size of nose, ears, lips... I realy would like to make that broken nose as the character have. I am a 3D modeler in 3DS Max and I realy would like to know about Zbrush but I need time. Actually I'm always looking for a ZBrush course to start.

Jason is a Genesis character, and one main advantage Genesis has is that you can mix and match morphs. So yes, you should be able to use the the Evolution morphs on Jason, but you may not get the same results as on a "realistic" character. Still, it's certainly worth a try! You might use the broken nose morph at somewhat less than full strength to get the look you want. Experiment with combinations of different morphs in different strengths until you like the results. :)

If you have 3DS Max, you can make new morphs of your own and import them to DAZ Studio, too. More info here: http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/userguide/creating_content/modeling/tutorials/pbms/start

Be sure to look at Bishounen Taurus' Manga Style shaders, or possibly pwToon, to get the outline and shading effects you'll probably want.

Edited to add: also see the Hiro 5 set, which includes Anime Brows that you might find helpful.

Hey, to create the contours and scribbles, to give the appearance of drawings made by hands, I recommend this:http://akvis.com/en/sketch/index.php
you can apply it in their renders.este software converts photos / renders on drawings made by hands as if by a designer using charcoal / graphite.
