I hope this link will be acceptable, but it is with sadness that I am linking to the news at Renderosity that Shana has passed away. I always admired her work with textures, and she will be missed.

    I saw that earlier today. it is a real shame. I always liked her texture sets. And I gather she was quite young to have passed already, which is really a double shame.

    Oh my, that sure knocked me for a loop. Was just browsing her store to see if she had any new Inked and Attitude sets out -- I love those! -- now I read she is gone from us. Far, far too soon. :-(

    That's terrible.

    ShanaC did great work and I talked to her a couple times in the forums and seemed like a nice person.

    Woah - I did not know the Artist, but she sure was talented. I read the note by her partner.

    ShannaC's story moved me. Now when I feel the need to complain about a sale or some other trivial reason I will remember this and refrain. Having dabbled in 3d figure development I understand the effort and skill that these products take. My problems are inconveniences - some other people's are insurmountable yet people like Shanna persevere without complaint and consistently produce gems. I can learn from that.

    She will surely be missed :-(!! I love her texture sets especially her inked series. I send my condolences to her family, soulmate, and friends! This is 2 bad news to me on the same day....sigh. Right now I am trying to be strong.....she will surely be missed!!

    Terrible news indeed, I feel for her partner and family. I only know her through her texture sets and her very colorful promo images that I often thought were some of the best images over at Renderosity, but it seems like she had a lot of friends who cared very much. Thank you for letting us know.

    i just discovered the sad news while browsing on the homepage at rendero... i'm really sad about this since Shana was one of my favourite artist in the 3D universe, all my deepest condolences to her family and close friends, thank you for your art you'll be missed

    Though I did not know her I have loved and always been jealous of her artwork, she had a unique style that was very feminine and sweet. So sorry to hear this sad news.

    We were saddened to hear of ShanaC's passing. She was an amazing artist to work with. Our condolences go out to her family, friends and loved ones. This is a very sad time for the entire community as we have lost someone great.

    What a shame! I wonder how old she was?? May she be at peace now. She was truly loved in the cg business :(

    I saw this at Renderosity yesterday and was in a state of shock. I have always admired her craft, and own a number of her products. She will definitely be missed.

    Sad news... she was a brilliant artist who could wow you with color.... I often bought outfits just to use her texture sets... my condolences to her friends and family.
