    Dear Mousso,

I love your creations. I am a huge Bruce Lee fan. If you make a Bruce Lee, I will buy him right away. I can envisions hours of fun with that one. That would be my top wishlist item!

Thank you for all your great work!

that is a lovely Mother's Day render Faeofthe3rdDimention. Did well with the mermaid one I've tried few different ones have not had much success with that myself something we need some good mermaid tails/addon variations we could use with different g8 bases

    Thank you!

And I couldn't agree more about the merpeople.  While the ones we have are awesome, we need ones that connect at the waist like the centaurs do, so that we can use whatever characters we want!

Yeah, it was a bit expensive! But I've been wanting some seafarer/naval outfits for ages so I just had to have it.

Laguna mermaid for G3F is much more flexible than Aguja, and Silas3D provided a helpful tutorial for adapting it to G8F. Unlike Aguja/Alascanus, which were made specifically to work with the included skins, Laguna includes the G3F UV as a material zone so you simply apply the desired skin onto the tail and it matches perfectly. Here is my first render using that method:

Now, I seem to have screwed something up in my conversion, which left a small seam along their bellies that I had to postwork out, but you can see how well the tail blends with the different human textures.

think I'm gonna give up on this render but I thought I'd just share what I was trying to do. Tried several times reducing render settings to default, removing changing stuff, backgrounds, camera angels, lights extra but keeps on crashing

finally got my render to work had to greatly reduce everything though and knocked subd on everything way down so because of all this not as happy as would have been wont post final versions here might get in trouble like did over another recently but previous post should give you an idea how I used Mousso's characters, couple of them I used the fantasy skins for genesis 8 by Cake One and V3Digitmes, this allowed me to keep Mousso's skins/details but add another colour tone over top great for more characters who are pretty but also make them creepy ghostly or say Hulky, Smurfy/Avitary/X Menny mutanty but again retain their base look

One thing I learned about characters, is that now after I purchase them, I use this simple lighting setup to render them out to see what the "out of the box" character looks like, without postwork.  I have found this gives me a better sense of the features of the character.  Now I make sure I do this within the 30 day return policy, so if I don't like it I can return it.  I have not been disappointed with any of the Mousso characters (I own all the females, the males are wishlisted), but there are a few others that were not quite what I thought.  I have enough female characters though that I can morph in others to get the result I like.

sounds like a wise thing to do Grant, honestly can not fault you on doing that think many of us have been there bought something but not like it is in the promos or at least able to get as good results or something else I too have products that not that happy with or have problems Jamie

Just played a bit with Romina, she's off on the razzle and her shoe felt a bit uncomfortable.

The building and pavement are my own models, the hair is Seema hair, the dress is Arryn's Diane Dress, the shoes are Arryn's Jasmine shoes. The dress shader is from KimonoLady/Mooncraftrp's satin shaders while the lace is a freebie lace shader from Rendo or Deviant Art (I forget which).

dtrscbrutal, looks just gorgeous. I do have one issue with it though. When I was a kid my parents had a smallholding with cattle, sheep, pigs and chickens. To make the pigs easier to control & do less damage, we put rings in their noses. Ever since then, I've felt putting a ring in a human's nose is just so wrong.. wink Even if it is for decorative purposes, it makes it is too easy to lead that person around by the nose.

I use Studio for illustrations of my publications projects, and since these are often Potterfics I've built a couple of iterations of a general cast list to use for this purpose. Most recently I've been working in a semi-’Toon style. But I have at least one project for which ’Toon-style would be a bad fit.

The promos for Archer looked like it might make a very nice starting point for a new character build.I think it came out rather well.

(I work in 3DL so the materials have been converted. And, of course I pulled in a number of other morphs.)

It does look very good. Has the, not sure how to put it, 'retro'(?) feel of the better Poser images seen on Rendo or Hivewire. Not sure if that's the right description, but compared to an iRay image it looks almost hand crafted.

3DL is an excellent render engine for people who *want* their images to look like illustrations. I'm not really into photorealism in the first place, and, being on a Mac, am not about to deal with Iray if I don't absolutely have to.

I generally compound the issue by running my renders through an analog art filter in Photoshop. Those move things right into a legitimately "painterly" look. But I didn't do it for this one.

Not everything needs to look like a photograph.

ETA: Part of that look is because I ran unsharp mask twice. That enhances all the edges.
