Trying some more experiments with both rendered VDS effects & postwork...the VDB laser sword by Those Things makes a pretty decent blaster bolt. Still see some things that could be better, but not too bad overall.
Had to link to my DA gallery as the forum will not upload anything for me today.
Decided to try some compositing of my renders...actually really happy with how it turned out.
