This is my first animation experiment with Carrara 8 Pro.
Thanks for looking.

Fun! Very cool - especially for a first attempt! Love the avatar, too!
Smooooth camera motion!
First "published" animation? Please say yes so I don't feel so bad about my own stuff.
good start :)
Really good! Hope to see more work from you here in the future!
Thanks for the kind comments.
This was was a revised version of my first animation in Carrara 8 Pro after purchasing it on sale on Friday. I had used Carrara back in version 4 and I have been doing lots of experimental animations in DAZ Studio, so don't feel bad. =)
I am loving Carrara 8 pro. It integrates great with DAZ Studio and I love the shaders and the speed of its render engine. This animation is just a 4 seconds spin modifier applied to the "Uzilite D 207" model with various cameras moving around it. The animation really improved when I added an HDRI backdrop. That is when the reflections really started to pop and it added the feeling of movement. It didn't add to the render time as this animation was rendering at 10 sec per frame.
Thanks for looking.
Excellent animation, rendering & soundtrack. Great job!
Did you model the car, too?
Animation is one of Carrara's best features.
Thank you
The car is "Uzilite D 207" from the daz store.
How did you get those cool reflections on the body?
thanks

Thanks, The reflections come from just adding a HDRI backdrop.

Experimenting with the Carrara 8 Physics motions, spline objects and modifiers.
Thanks for looking.
You may be interested in Age of Armor's video on youtube, where he smashed a car using Carrara's standard physics engine.

He also has a tutorial on how he did it:

Sorry, I meant to comment on the video as well as provide the links!
I like the video, but I think the camera is too tight on the ball. I would like to see a bit more of what is going on with the other objects in the scene. It wouldn't take much, just back the camera away from the ball a little as you did at the end of the video.
Thanks for the links. They are very inspiring.
I agree it would be better seeing more of the scene. I got caught up in looking at the reflections in the ball in this very quick experiment.
I love that there is no frame by frame animation in the ball, all physics simulation and behavior modifiers. Its so much quicker than trying to animating it manually.
I may revisit this animation once I try some more physics experiments. The links you provided makes me want to try lots of other ideas.
Very nice work!
Just one thing, the steering wheel is on the wrong side :D
I was first wondering where the steering wheel is but saw than that it is on the left side :D
Nice work.
Oh Bravo!!! Love it!!!
Thanks for all the nice comments and feedback.
This is my first attempt of importing a character and motion from DAZ Studio into Carrara and adding a particle emitter.
Thanks to Age of Armour's great particle files (http://youtu.be/UFxGFPoyXXc).
Thanks for looking.

These are cool!

An quick experiment of importing DAZ Genesis Micheal 5 into Carrara.
Thanks for looking.
Really neat! I'll have to dig out some 3d glasses and look that way!
Love the Cyborg M4 (?) animation. I like the camera angle work and clip edits... really nice job. Shaders look great....
Just keep doing stuff. Awesome!
