Hi,
I got this amazing lady but the problem is that I can't make it work for Victoria 4. The body injection works fine including the makeup but the head injection will not work at all. Could someone please help me. Thank you.

Do you have morphs++ for V4 installed?

Yes I do have it installed

Ok, may seem unintuitive, but try injecting the Morphs++ and see if that helps.

If that doesn't work, try running the initialization for the morphs. Sometimes when you install new morphs, you need to re-run it.

Just as a matter of curiosity what finally helped you get it working correctly. In case anyone else comes across the same problem.

Well, I have to re downloaded because the first download I believed it was corrupted. Then I extracted it and put it in the poser format place and it works great.

I sent a support ticket on this, and they acknowledged a bug on Echo, but I haven't heard back from them. The problem is it uses Aiko4 for both Genesis and V4, but doesnt list it anywhere in the description. I have A4 morph for Genesis, so the Genesis morph worked, but I dont have Aiko 4, so the V4 morph gives a missing file error.

If I had known I wouldn't have bought the product. I have no idea if they will update the product to work within specs, or change the specs on the product page. No word from DAZ customer service yet.

If you bought it within the last 30 days you can return it and request a refund

Ok, just got this lady, and I have a question.

I've tried using her with Genesis and Genesis 2, and really have not had any issues. However, I'm doing a render comparison between the two and V4. When I load up V4, and when I use the power loader, I need to auto inject the A4 base and V4 Morphs++? Is there anything else that I need to auto inject?

    Thanks!

I need urgent help with this lady, I have v4.2 ++morphs etc, but I don't know how to install echo? I copied all the extracted folders into the correct places, but when I open up daz and try to apply her to the existing v4.2 nothing happens.

What am I doing wrong? the read me says theres an installer, but what does a victoria4 version installer look like?

I've noticed similar issues with my content library. I'll go into the DAZ library, people, blah blah blah, click on an item, and nothing happens. However, in the poser directory it works for some reason.

What I would do is load up V4.2, inject morphs ++, and the Aiko 4 morphs (I tend to use the auto installer for simplicity), then I do a search for Echo. You'll see the head morph pop up, and you'll probably see two different icons for it. If one doesn't work, try the next one. If that second one works, hover your mouse over the icon until it tells you the location of the morph that worked. At that point, navigate through your library to that location, and continue to inject the morphs, apply the skin maps, etc.

    Hope this helps.

Point of note: Echo works well with V4.2, Genesis, and Genesis 2. Genesis 2 she's a bit taller, but still looks dang sexay. If you're using her with any of the Genesis figures, it is highly recommended to use the following:

So I need aiko 4 morphs too or this product won't work? I also just checked the product page, its changed since this afternoon, guess I'm not the only person upset with this product.

Am I clear on this, in order to use this product only on v4, you also need the other figures and their morphs too?

You've always needed the A4 morphs for it to work. I know there has been issues lately with the product page for some reason. The other day when I was contemplating on buying it, it had "V4 and M4 Shapes for Genesis" listed 4 times.

So yes, if you have the auto installer/injector and are using V4.2, click on A4 base injection, and Morphs++.

If you are using Genesis, you will want the Evolution Head and Body Morphs, along with the V4/M4 Shapes for Genesis. You will also probably want the V4 UV Mapping for Genesis as well. Just make sure that before you apply it to the Genesis model, you go into the parameters tab of the Genesis figure and for the V4 option, move it to 1 and you should be all set.

Let me know if this works for you.

Guess I just learned an annoying lesson, if a daz product says its for v4, I should just assume that I'll need lots of other figures and products too in order for it to work.

I'm hoping this is down to my relative newness at 3d, and not fully knowing what all the terms mean.

I think I'll stick with Mirhelle products in future

    Well, yes and no.

Compatible 3D Figures: Genesis, Victoria 4

However, it's VERY important to remember to look at this:

!Required Products: Aiko 4 Base, Genesis Evolution: Body Morphs, Victoria 4.2 Morphs++, V4 and M4 Shapes for Genesis

It may also have a suggested products to use.

Daz is lucky I'm a sucker for a pretty face, as I'm now going to invest time and money in aquiring those other products :red:

Apologies for the double post, but when you say the product "genesis evolution: body morphs" is required, do I also need the genesis figure? or is having the genesis morphs enough?

If you are using V4 and the V4 version, then you need the V4 morph packs mentioned.

If you are using Genesis and the Genesis version then you need the genesis morph packs mentioned.

V4 is a stand alone figure

Genesis is the default figure which comes with DS 4+

Ok, maybe this is just because I'm a beginner at this, But I now have all the products required to use this product. But I am totally confused at to what I'm meant to do.

    The aiko4 came with 4 archives: aiko4base, aiko4basestudioCF, aiko4baseposer, aiko4pwrloader,

What am I meant to do with these?
Which one do I use, or do I copy all of those archives contents to the appropriate folders?

Even after those questions have been answered I'm still not at all sure as to the steps I have to take after that in order to "make" an echo.

Well for a start if you are using DS then you won't need to download the Poser file.

You need these files, and they get installed to your default Content folder.

@Chohole. I thought because there was a "poser" menu in daz I would need the poser files? if not, I'll just delete them

You statement also raises this question, the echo came with 3 folders: Echo, EchoposerCF, echov4ps, which of those do I use?

@Jaderail. by "they get installed" do you mean I copy their contents to the correct folders?

If you understand hand installing from Zip files, Yes that is what I mean.

This is now day 3 of this ridiculousness.....

After spending the better part of 2 hours trying to install everything required to run this product and following the instructions given by other posters in this thread I am still no closer to making this product work.

Can someone please provide me with an idiot proof step by step guide of how to install this product and all other required products from the start of the process to the end.

So far my experience of 3d products and supporting documentation/instructions has been the equivalent of Microsoft releasing the newest version of Excel and giving the following instructions.

    1. Get Excel
    2. Open Excel
    3. Use Excel

Why do these products not come with a install.exe file? if they do...what does it look like? how do I use it?

As it stands, I highly doubt I will get another product from daz

This is why DAZ 3D released DIM. if you use DIM to download and install your content you should have a pain free experience as long as you have set DIM up correctly for the program that you are installing to, be it poser or DS.

If you are installing manually it is no different to installing anything that comes in a zip file, which is the majority of products from other stores, not only DAZ 3D.
