I've just discovered this modeling program here in the Daz store which promotes itself as a being specifically for Poser items (clothes). The one discussion is almost two years old despite a new release just having been made available. The comments where mostly favourable.
Is anyone actively using this program? I'd be interested in comments regarding the newest version.
Thanks

Early versions of software had technical issues. There are threads in the old forum archives regarding this. Whether they have worked out or previous buyers did not upgrade and ceased to use the app is unknown.
Be aware, this modeller is Win only and it is unknown if it supports Win8 (if that is the OS you are using). It's an inexpensive modeller that is fairly limited.
You might want to take a look at Hexagon here in the store.
While this app was originally designed for use in Poser and DS up through 3A, it does have a tutorial on creating clothing for Genesis.
One thing to be aware of: this is a PA product. All support for this app comes from the PA and not DAZ. I have purchased products in the past from this vendor and I will warn you that his customer service is not the best. Perhaps things have changed but it was one of the reasons I ceased to buy or upgrade from this vendor years ago. Note, this is my opinion and experience only.
I have Pegasus Modeler 3.0, but I have only played with it a little bit. I like it but I need to find more tutorials. Where can I find them? I too got it for making clothing.
I had ver. 2.0 and it worked OK on my WinXP Laptop, but now that I'm on Win7 it's having a MS C++ Runtime Libraries error. Whether that's because DIM also uses those libraries, I don't know if that's a conflict between the two apps or not.
As far as other tuts Kulay, there aren't any. I also scoured the net for more when I got ver. 2.0 back in 2011. I'd be surprised if any have been put up live since then.
Yes I have PM 2 and PM 3 but the lack of tutorials I haven't bothered too much with it. the tutorials that do come with it are really basic stuff to get you started. If there is a PM 4 ill skip it as the creator doesn't seem to be around after release day.
Miss B is the program a 32 bit one. In which case the Visual C++ error could be because of a missing .dll which is not in Win 7.

Thanks! The second link did it. Now I got ver. 2.0 working on Win8-64...so I might get te upgrade to 3.0 :-)
Glad I could help. It is a problem that Bryce users run into, so had the links posted in a sticky thread in the Bryce forum where I could find them easily.

Thanks Cho. I'll check into those. I do suspect it's a 32-bit app as there was only one download when I got it not two, one for 32-bit and one for 64-bit.
EXCELLENT!!! Off I go to check it out. ~grin~
BTW, how did you determine which download you needed? Since it's a 32-bit app, I'm assuming the first file (x86); is the one we need for Win7 and Win8. Is that the one you downloaded?
Edited to Add: Well I downloaded both the x86 and the x64 files, but I wonder which one I need. Since Pegasus is a 32-bit app, I would think the x86 download, but since Win7 is a 64-bit system, I wonder if I need to install the x64 file.
If anyone has any idea, please let me know.
Thanks in advance.
Sorry I should have specified, you need the X86 one.
Well I went and installed the 64-bit version of the download, and NOW my Pegasus 2.0 is working again!!!
YAY Chohole!!! I never had a problem with Bryce, and I certainly didn't expect the problem with Pegasus, but now I'm glad it's working again. Not sure if I'll upgrade to version 3, but at least I can use version 2, which has made me a happy little camper. :coolsmirk:
Well I installed the x64 one because my Win7 is a 64-bit OS, and now I'm in business again, so both probably have that missing .dll file in the distribution.
Thanks again. ;-)
Installed the x64 first, computer said nothing and Pegasus had the same error.
Then I tried the x86, no response from my computer but Pegasus is working :)
That's interesting Peken since, IIRC, we're both running 64-bit Windows OS. The x64 worked fine on my Win 7 Pro. Hmmmm, I wonder if it's because it's Win 7 Pro with XP mode. Maybe either one would've worked for me. I don't know if Win 8 has the XP mode or not. Then again, if mine has XP Mode then maybe the x86 would've worked too. You didn't mention what you're error message was, but since Cho said the missing .dll file seems to be the issue for folks, it was probably the same as mine.
I guess it doesn't really matter which version of the download worked, as long as it worked. :coolsmirk:

This is interesting. I reformatted the PC and Pegasus 2 won't accept my serial key. It says it's invalid. I'm glad someone with Windows 7 64 bit got it working, though. Gives me a bit of hope. :(

Hey Tig, long time no see. A quick question, do you realize there are 2 "parts" to the serial key? The first part is the User Name, and the second part is the actual Serial Number. Did you try putting the whole thing in the input box for the Serial Number? That would cause it not to be accepted.

Hi! Yeah, I know. Been dealing with one thing after another the last few months and sort of just "fell out" of Poserverse on social levels.
Yep, I realize that. In my e-mail the two parts are actually on different lines. I put the first part in the top box and the longer, second part in the bottom box, which I think is correct... I'm logged in as a standard user at the moment, instead of admin, so can't try it again. LOL
