Questions about Biohazard

Hi:
I really like Biohazard environment: http://www.daz3d.com/biohazard-1
I have two questions. In the promo art it says: "Color Correction" on one image, making it green, and the second is "Volumn smoke added"
I am not sure what color correction means, and what is volumn smoke?
I am just trying to understand these terms.

Is the render done in Poser or DS? i know Poser has had depth cue and volumetrics since version 5 and believe DS has them as well.
I couldn't begin to explain the color correction.
Some appear to be in daz. it looks now that the promo art may has been changed since I don't recall seeing the monstrosity in them when last I looked. I am not sure what volumn smoke is. I am interested in achieving the atmospheric quality of the smokey render with the godrays in the promo art. I am using daz.
Is it possible those notes are referring to what was done in post work?
You can achieve the god rays by using Age of Armour's Atmospheric Cameras or the ubervolume lights hat come with Daz already. The color correction was probably done through post work.
hmmm I was going to show you an example with my scene but I can't seem to get the volumetric light to come out right. Would probably be best to ask the vendor how they pulled it off.
Oh thanks. That's nice of you. =-) I'm working on it but I like his lighting more. I've added my volume camera from the atmospheric effects package and have some light effects, but they aren't nearly as awesome as his setup. LE sigh. I'm afraid his are just more dramatic.
Lighting is always going to be my nemesis I think, but as long as I improve, I can't ask for more.
This is an amazing set and I really like it the way it renders. Really fantastic.
funny, before I even saw he added daz monstrosity to it, I had decided to use the same critter.

yup I'm trying to use the AoA camera as well, but for some reason It puts so much light in my scene and I can't seem to edit it to work right. I'm going to try and give it another go today. I tried using the ubervolume stuff too and that just came out...weird looking lol.
Ok so! I did some decent tests I suppose. I think this is as good as I can get it for now. I did a bit of my own post work on the second image. Also I notice there are artifact like thingys near the open roof. Dunno why those are appearing for. And the one spot is really bright for whatever reason.
I feel like, eventually I'll just get Luxus or Octane (I know octane can make "god rays"). Really wanting to go full blown photo realistic.
Godrays using Age of Armour’s Atmospheric Cameras is really something hard to achieve. I've been playing with those cameras for a while now, and the only way to get some kind of godrays is to use only one - or perhaps two light sources and place the one to make the rays more or less next to an object, turn it really bright and then use the deep shadow map for the light. But I've never managed to get those prominent rays, so those must have been enhanced trough postwork.
Another idea is to simply use a plane primitive and create a ray using a transparency map. Much easier to control!
Kind of sad Daz Studio doesn't have better options built in already. Though the program is free...that might be a factor lol >.>
Does Cararra have volumetrics?
Here's my render.
I tried for hours doing the godrays with age of armor and my godrays suck. LOL. The tutorial is also really scant.
I would love it best if there were some presets sold with these cameras so that I could see how this is done.
I found the best solution was actually postwork using Ron's light and shadows. It makes excellent godrays with a lot less frustration.
I am going to presume when they say colour correction they actually mean Gamma Correction
Gamma wouldn't change a blue scene green, it would only look like a lighter shade of blue. ;)
Would help If i went and looked at the images....LOL Yeah probably Photoshop Colour correction then or something similar.
Damn.. I should've told you that it had pretty pink ponies. >.<</p>
:P
I thought it had. LOL
Pretty Pink Ponies - now that's what I call biohazard :-O
