Bovid Diversity

Muskoxen, Water Buffalo, Highland Cattle, Ankole-Watusi, Asturian Mountain Cattle, Zebu Cattle, Domestic Yak, and any other breeds you can think of.

These animals are as crutial to natural human scenery as a horse or a dog and cat, and to not have them drastically limits the render community from the truth of immersion scenes they desire to make.

I have those Bovines, but they are low poly and nothing like Daz quality. Though, I have and do use them because of the lack.

    Thanks!

I would like some updated cows.

I kind of wonder if it’d be possible to make a cow out of Daz Horse 2; the Tane Deer and Llama are pretty impressive.

    Thats a good idea.

Also, actually even think the Noggins Cow is really good. It needs a bit of fur though and some eyelashes.

Yeah, to recent posts. Keep this topic fresh, I really want to see the products at the store. If the community can create dinosaurs, bovines should be a snap.

Have a look in Alessandro Mastronardi's store.  He has a bison,  caribou and moose.  No water buffalo that I could see, though.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

I could use a steer. Or Texas long horn, preferably neuter. You can’t do a render with stampeding milk cows and a herd full of bulls just looks odd. Also many existing cattle do not have much in the way of movement poses. To make you herd run, they need articulation and joints to do so.

i like Alessandro’s work but I am not into lamh. It causes my machine to crash.

I have searched the store. It was that search that sparked the post here. I saw the few cloven hooved critters we have to choose from. We need a dedicated artist to create the breeds I listed (and those other's mention) on a basic "cattle" model for Daz Studio updates. It tells as much of the story of a scene as the clothing in some parts of the world. In Scotland you need shaggy cattle, in Spain you need the proper breeds. It's a huge part of human character and culture that has yet to be addressed by the community.

Alassandro's a good person to ask to begin the endeavor in terms of model design.

    Thank's for the suggestion!

Fully articulate cattle is a huge part of this request. I also agree that you need a morph for geldings and non-stud bulls. The point is very well recieved and very authentic to the reality of cattle herding.

    Thanks!

PS: Geldings, as in horse model morphs, not bulls! Sorry if I confused anyone....

Contacted, Alessandro. Maybe he will comment here before the week's out.

HiveWire3d is working on bull (i think spanish) and bison morphs for the horse, but I don't expect to see them anytime soon.

Their production schedule is very slow.although I like the look of it hopefully it isn’t lamh. I really can’t use that product because of crashing.

Usually that's an add-on or at least an optional thing.  I could be wrong.  But I think he knows that not everyone can use LAMH due to lack of resources on older computers.  Their horse doesn't use LAMH.  It has textures by the same person who made the Mil Horse texutres and the wings, CWRW.

The problem with LAMH is people rely too much on it and its not reliable for everyone.

When I buy a character with LAMH then the model is usually really basic without it. There is a bison model here in the store, but it has a just a long thin rat tail. It doesn't look like a bison at all without the preset- which makes my machine crash.

So, I honestly hope for something different than LAMH.
