Hair conversion problem

Hi all,

I would like to talk about a little problem I have with a few products I bought.
I bought some Hair, like Fabiana's "Deja Vue" (Yes, I know, I bought it on renderosity, it's bad, shame on me! :D ), and Magix's "Luna Hair".

Both are great, but both suffers the same problem: they fits perfectly to a V4.2 model, but when I try to put it on a V5 or a V6 character, I lost every functionnality on it (I can't select a part of the hair, like the tail, the bang, what I was able to do when it was on a V4 model).
so, it's a big problem for me to have a windy move with the hair!

More, I saw a "break" in the hair line, at the shoulder level. It's a very sharp break, so it's not realistic.

Does it exist a plug-in, an add-on to make easier the conversion of hair (and maybe clothes?) between V4.2, and V5 & 6?

Thanks in advance!

Most of those tend to be prop type hair parented to the head. In such cases you're often better off loading the hair in, positioning and scaling it to fit on the head and then parenting. This way you keep any morphs functionality. The autofit also ends to break any hairstyle which has added bones, such as some ponytails because of the way it re-assigns bones to match the Genesis figure itself.

Why I didn't thought about that earlier?
Thanks a lot for the advice, I will try that. Hope it won't deform too much the original hair.

    Thanks again!

I have a hair tutorial that covers the parenting process in detail (among other things).

If it's prop hair (hr2 or pp2), an alternative method that could work is to convert the hair prop to a Genesis-compatible figure.
