Update - It has been released! http://www.daz3d.com/new-releases/jeanz-skirt-for-genesis

Just finished so thought I would share. This set includes a JeanZ Skirt and blouse for both Genesis 1 AND Genesis 2 Female. Both the skirt and blouse have open morphs for you to play with. Morphs for A4, A5, S5 and V6 are included on the G1 version. The G2F version has morphs for V6 and Gia morph for the skirt.

Please let me know what you think. Attached are images of the G1 version.

Cheers!
Phillip

Looking forward to get these from your store!

Are you planning on remaking the JeanZ or TreadZ to fit Genesis 2?

Thanks everyone! You made my day with all the kind words!

Playing around with more renders. Attached are renders of V6 with another of the Open morphs and the ExposeBreast morphs. I had to whip up a quick bra so I could post it. LOL

I have thought about it. Now this that this set is done I will take a look at them. If MINOR changes are needed then they would probably just become an update to the current products. No promises at this point on when or if this might happen, but I will post something when I decided.

    Thanks,
    Phillip

I'm liking the look of it :), mind if I ask how the skirt will be rigged?

My resolve to not spend so much is slipping fast. My credit card is going to go into hiding soon.

    These look really great.

Bought!!! ... wait a minute ... not completely accurate ... will buy it soon I guess, as it is not released, yet :)

Really love that you are also one of the vendors who supplies a lot of custom morphs, makes the clothing more versatile.

Will definately buy this set when it comes out..

Not only is it well modelled but the additional morphs are an absolute must have in any clothing items, yet are sadly lacking in the majority if Genesis / G2 clothing..

    Excellent work sir.!!!!

Excellent! Already use JeanZ and have been seeking a short denim (and leather) skirt for Genesis. Will the textures for some of the JeanZ expansion sets be applicable for this? I can picture this being great for rebellious teenager/punk rocker looks, especially with darker colours.

Making a neatly sewn and slightly ripped/unravelled options for the skirt's hem are greatly appreciated, too. :)

I agree, I like having morphs that allow the clothes to do things like open.

It is just a basic rig, but it is good enough for most poses including sitting ones. I add morphs for the front and back to make the edge go in toward the thighs. This should help the skirt look better when sitting and not poof out. Some characters the thighs may poke through a bit but turning on the mesh smoothing would take care of that.

The skirt can use textures made for the JeanZ for Genesis however some alteration would be required in the texture for the middle of the skirt. You could just use a paint program to color/copy in the middle it the texture doesn't already have it.

ForbiddenWhispers has made some additional textures for the skirt and blouse and they are awesome!!! Maybe we can get her to post some previews. :D

    Cheers!

Taking an informal poll. Is a V4 version of this set of interest?

    Thanks,
    Phillip

Yeah, I'd probably buy that, too. V4 is still my go-to figure.

I like what I see, very much. Just purchased your vinyl jumpsuit. Having much fun with it. I'm trying to break the V4 habit. Too many newer, really good characters. Many still use her, so it might be worth your while.

Zero interest, here. I use V4 when I have to, but much prefer G2F and Genesis.

Still use V4 along with Genesis, so yes. Would want a V4 version primarily for Poser.

    Not for me thanks,

I already have a million and one clothing outfits for V4 of a similar style that already do this and more...

No, I would like to see further development of additional clothing of this quality for G1/ G2.

    Just my personal requirement.. ;)

    Cheers,

    S.K.

My preferred sequence is G2F, then Genesis, and then V4, though I usually only buy V4 clothing if it is really exceptional these days. Especially when it comes to clothing with additional morphs G2F and Genesis could use some more items, while you usually find 2-3 (or more) other examples per clothing item on the V4 market already.

Thanks for the feedback and please keep it coming. However, I wonder if the results are skewed because the title of this thread is "JeanZ Skirt for Genesis"? ;)

There's naturally going to be a texture add-on for this set.

Here's some shots of the texture add-on that I made. :) You can mix and match all the options so you can get infinite styles.

Phillip did an awesome job on this outfit, and I had an excellent time working with it.

Maybe. But as others have already stated, the V4 market is saturated. I look at Rendo these days and I see almost nothing worth buying, since it's all just rehashes of stuff we all already have several variants of at this point. Implementing this for V4 would bring very little new to V4, other than texture map compatibility with the Genesis version (I assume you'd make the same UV work for both).

That may be - and the fact that quite a lot of Poser users who don't use the DSON thingie don't frequent the Dazforums anymore.

I am using both - and all of my dolls, old and new. :)

Skirt and textures are in my cart, when they hit the store...

V4 version... I prefer Genesis (2), V4 would be for me a nice bonus, but not something I really _"must"_ buy.

I don't use v4...so I'm only interested in Genesis and Dawn at the moment.

I'd be interested in a V4 version if you make one; as I still use her.
