I see items listed in Daz and Renderosity where 2 people are listed as the vendor

How is the cost split?

Just in general, how does it work?

I imagine, 1 person models, another does the texture for the outfit

AAt rendo and most other sites, the spilt twixt artists is usually 50/50 because thats the fairest way.
Though sometimes you might find one person chooses to take a lower cut.

For example one person might make and texture the model, another artist might make promos in return for a free copy.
So the main creator might give 10 or 25% of sales to the promo artist as a thank you.

Is the split input done when upload a product?

That's what I don't understand is how the profits are spilt

Here at DAZ it is up to the vendors to determine the split. The details of the split are between the two PA's and aren't made public. If you are planning on jointly submitting a product only one PA needs to submit the product. In the submission notes they can note that it is a joint submission and the details of the split.

    NO, I meant

Ok, you submit an item that was made between 2 venders

When you are in the process of submitting it, if there like a page that will split the profits before the 2

Meaning, when someone buys it, would the money be split without any hassle

Yes DAZ splits the money appropriately in accordance to what you say the % should be between the two parties.

Yep. At rendo theres a box/pulldown which allows theprimary seller to set the spilt amounts.
    other sites are different

Either DAZ or Rendo makes it very easy to split up profits between vendors, because it's a very common practice and often results in bigger, better products than one can produce alone.

We add one of our testers to the packs for a small percentage for doing our DS Mats.
