Can't Move V5

Hello, I have three items in the scene. V5, a staff, and a dragon. After putting in the dragon and staff, I can no longer manipulate the V5 figure. I click on it and it only lets me select the whole figure, and not individual components like a finger. What happened here and how do I fix this? Its like she is locked in. Also I do click more than once on the V5 figure.

Also I can select different parts of the dragon to modify it, just not the V5.

Sounds like you have locked V5 by accident maybe,?

Have a look in the Scene pane as shown below, if the little icon has an 'x' instead of a tick, click on it again to toggle it on or off. Does that help?

Hmm she isn't even listed there, just the dragon and staff listed in that window.

Wait she is listed, I was looking for "genesis", but she has a cube in the name instead of the three circles you have there. She has a check instead of an x. She also doesn't have a drop down menu like the other two. I think I must have saved her in the wrong file type. Luckily I have a copy I just found, and it works fine.

Can you please post a screenshot of your Scene pane?

    How did you load V5?

What you have loaded appears to be the OBJ mesh file for V5, that cannot be selected or posed, as it contains no rigging information, that is what the little cube means (OBJ or mesh file)

You will need to load V5 as a morph on Genesis, or by loading it from People > Genesis > Characters in the Content Library pane.

Nevermind, found a copy I saved that works fine. I use these figures as a reference for sculpting clay. What is best way for me to save these files? I've been saving them as scenes. Many thanks!

You can save as a scene or scene subset, if you want the complete character with clothing and hair etc.

You can then Merge that scene into any other scene, so that the character is reusable.

Ah I see, yeah it was an obj file, thanks for that info.
