It's Kuril. I wanted to let people know that they could use other Genesis shapes with the pose set. I could've used Aquatic Genesis (and thus cross-promoted my Deep Ones pose set for it), but then I'd feel compelled to add a bonus set of poses for Aquatic Genesis' geografts, and honestly, I had to stop somewhere. Lol.

    It turned out nicely!

I adore those caustic effects. I'd been wanting something like Destiny's Garden's lights for a long time before this sale.

Awww, stop it. :red: I guess all you had to do to motivate me was make a mermaid tail. *reaches over and slaps the red Easy Button*

Thanks for posting your renders Carrie and wilmap. Great work! It is a treat for all of us to see our collective efforts finally in use.
    cheers!

Naida got to play and became part of the latest PC weekly entry :) Part from Naida there is also Water Camera, DG's Water lights, Poseidon Plants, Mermaid for G2F, Spiderqueen Hair and some other props :)

(also posted in FWart's Naida and Nalin thread)

    Mermaid

Many a man has become victims of the deep waters, simply by attraction the attention of one of the beautiful mermaids within the depths. Now you have her attention, will you become another man lost to the deep?

I wanted to ask.. I really love the underwater atmosphere lights but they render really slowly on my computer.. is there a way to speed these bad boys up?

Are you using just the lights, or the WaterCam, or both? Just the lights alone shouldn't really take very long. When using the cameras, especially the volume camera, yes the renders can take a while. That is just the nature of volumetrics and the rendering engine. It has a lot of stuff to calculate. Do a test render at a lower quality setting, and then, when you are happy with the effect, do a higher quality render and go to bed while your computer works overnight.
Hope that helps. Slap me if I completely answered the wrong question, as I have already a few times today.

Well if I get a chance to play I will let you know, as I too have all of these.

Well Cho, I installed the 3 packs I got and loaded up one of the Table Corals and it ported to Bryce 7 beautifully. It came in below the ground so I had to raise it up, but it worked great. That coral happens to be very large, so I'll have to move it further away from the camera, because at 1200x700 the outer edges on the right and left aren't in the frame. Then again, it appeared the same way in DS 3A. :-)

Now to wait 'til the catch-up sale to get the Reef Rocks and Plants and I'll be all set. ~grin~

I just wanted to say how much I like the items I bought (Mermaid Genesis Mega Bundle, Defenders of the Deep, & Under the Sea Poses). I really don't have a need to do any mermaid renders, but they are fun to play with. I was thrilled when I saw that Mermaid Genesis comes with finger webs; I've needed to be able to do webbed fingers for one of my characters, and these are perfect for my purposes.

I've also had a good time trying the tail with some of the more extreme Genesis shapes, like Mr. Hyde. I found that the front of the tail where it joins the body got somewhat distorted with Mr. Hyde dialed to 100%, but using the SFMNoLegs morph (with limits turned off) dialed to around 125% straightened it up. I can see a lot of possibilities for this. Now I need to buy the underwater props, camera, and lights. Maybe payday...

At any rate, here's a very rough render of Mr. Hyde as a merman, with the default textures and a simple area light. I'm getting a little bit of pokethrough where the tail meets the body, but I'll figure that out tomorrow; I need to get to bed.

Hyde isn't really supported (thus the distortion and the "super long" tail). The Freaks mostly are, though.

I'm really glad Genesis (original) got a mermaid set instead of just Gen 2 Fem. Here's my first play with Genesis 1 mega bundle set along with the Gen 2 Fem armor I picked up yesterday. Note: I didn't grab the camera or lights...the atmosphere and background is all postwork.

I didn't think he was. It's fun to push Genesis to extremes sometimes and see what happens, though. You did a great job with these sets.

Well when I use the tail poses the fancytail doesn't seem to follow the main tail ....here's a screen shot ......it's probably something I'm not doing right ....but I can't figure it out ....

Is the tail conformed to the main tail? It looks like it might be conformed to Genesis.

Also, you need to turn on the "fit fancy tail" morph in the Main Tail piece.
