Putitng a video or rendered image files into my scenes

Hey, all.

I was doing some tests with a carousel, did some simple animation and rendered it out as image files. I wanted to use that rendered piece in another scene but I can't find a way to do it. Can I render it out as a movie and put that in?

If I can't do it it's going to put a hurt on some of my stories.

Any help would be appreciated.

Joseph

DAZ Studio does not Support Animated Textures at this Time. You could Check the FreePozitory Forum and Check in Casuals links to see if his plugin will work.

if it is just an animated background you can render your second image series to png so it has an alpha channel (ie seethrough background) then composite it in a video editor
cinegobs keyer (Google it) is a free chromakey one that will do it.

just a shoot in the dark here, but possibly an idea that may work:

1 convert your animated texture (avi or whatever) to a series/sequence of pictures named progressively (i.e. film0001, film0002...) matching the framerate with that of the scene clip you want to use it in.

2 i suppose this can be scripted -> in your final rendering, load each subsequent frame of the animated texture in the material used for the surface where you need the 'film' to be shown

this way you should have the animated texture rendered into the final scene.
