There are German army uniforms over at renderosity but you'll have to use autofit to get them fit on G8M because they are for M4. I recall that in another thread it was said the PA that created the WWII grunt clothing at DAZ 3D store was not making more such war clothing as the return on their time investment was not suffucient to warrant it.
Thanks for the feedback...
I don't think thats an M4 and V4 outfits are an option really.. I've had some really bad results trying to use older items and the ones your mentioning are OBJ files designed to go with poser.. so I don't even know how the materials will react since they aren't made for IRAY... Have you tried the product yourself?
Here here! I agree. We need Nazis and Klan for our heroes to beat the crap out of. And we need it for more rcent figures. Upon pondering this, though, what if Daz3d is nervous about creatijng said figures for fear of being *gasp* ... controversial?
Or suppose they can't guarantee how they will be used. I'm sure those groups would love some 3D models too. lol
I have the Rendo SS uniforms, but not the normal German army ones. They work pretty well with later generations. Here's what it looks like in Iray on a G8M.
You can't autofit M4 clothes to G8, so I autofitted them to a Genesis 1 identifying them as M4 clothes, then I autofitted the clothes from Genesis to G8M identifying them as Genesis clothes. I simply ran the materials through the Iray Uber Base shader, and darkened the colour of the boots somewhat. With more time I'd have played around with the gloss settings, applied metal shaders to the buttons, etc., but this gives you an idea of what it looks like out of the box.
Of course a native G8M uniform would be much better, but if you want to start redering today instead of waiting till some time in the indefinite future when somebody produces one for you, the M4 uniforms are perfectly usable.
You did such a good job, I want to punch your render. :)
What uniform did you use ?.
