Hi,
I recently changed my computer and I transfer all my .dsf and .obj files on my new machine, however, it fails to find my obj files and unlike dsf files, it does not allow me to find the path ... it just gives me the error message :
'Missing Files
Some assets needed to load the file were missing. The content may not work as expected. The following files could not be found :
[list of my missing files]'
Can you help me ? Thanks in advance

How did you do the transfer? The easiest way would have been to move the entire Content library folder (My Library or My DAZ 3D Library, whatever you use)
is there a reason why you moved only DSF and OBJ files, or did you move other files as well? You would need to look inside the DSF file to see where it expects the OBJ files to be, and then create a folder of the same name there. Most OBJ files will be stored in Runtime/Geometries.
To look at a DSF file, you may need to use WINRAR or WinZip as some of them are compressed, but you can do it from within DS as well I believe.
I transfert my files one by one, cause my previous organisation was not good. There is no problem with my .dsf files and the .obt attached, this is just the .obj i used with the fonction "imported" in my previous computer, that are not found (and i can't give the path manually)
I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean?
When you try to load a DSF file, the OBJ file that it calls cannot be found? Have you looked in the log file for the path to the OBJ file?
Go to Help > Troubleshooting > View Log File to see the files that are missing. Did you create the DSF file yourself on your old computer?
A) In fact, i used in Daz Studio some files that are just .obj, not .dsf. They don't require to be convert in daz format (i use the fonction "import"), so there is not .dsf attached file (i have never created .dsf file) .
I had no problem to work with them, but with the change my computer does not allows me to find their path; unlike to the .dsf (so no problem with the .obj files attached to the .dsf, just for the .obj alone).
B) I go the 'help' (http://www.daz3d.com/help) but there is no troubleshooting, neither in 'document center' or 'help center' beside trouble-shooting for the smart content (which did not help me) .
Sorry if it is a technical matter
The issue is that when you import an .obj, DS converts it to a DS-format geometry file, which is saved in the Data folder. If you didn't copy those files over, DS won't find them (although you can look at the .dsf files to find out exactly what file it is looking for). .duf files record the location of the original Poser-format files so they can recreate the Data folder files, but I'm not sure if that applies for .obj files -- is the location of the .obj files on your new computer exactly the same?
It's Help inside DS, not on the website.
Anything You SAVED once you imported the Object File into DS is what was lost. The Data Files is probably what is missing. You need to Import each object again and SAVE again as you did the first time to build the files you missed when you moved the content.
Thanks for your help, and sorry for the delay ! I think i understand the problem, i will try to fix it and post if i succeed.
