WTF is that? Dark blue letters on a black background?!

I'm sorry but this product is useless. Can I give the serial nr back and get a refound?

It might be caused by the "Style" that you have selected for your workspace. Have you customized the colors? As an experiment you could go the the menu Window/Style/Select Style and see if selecting a different style changes that.

It is caused by the style. The white letters only show in Darkside. I use Main Street without customization and I have the same problem. I tested with Highway and it also uses black letters. I think it's because of the dark purple background on the buttons. Main Street's default button background is light gray, so black letters look okay. If you hold your mouse over the button, the Tool Tips give some idea of what the button does, so you can use it even if you can't see the label. I hope this gets fixed.

This worked beautifully on Daz Dragon 3.  So easy!  Best viewed full size.

Does it work with morphs installed by Daz Connect?

Yep, if a morph shows up in the Shaping pane, Randomizer2 should have no problem seeing it regardless of install method.  It is important to note, though, that this only applies to actual morphs, not "ERC" parameters (sliders that control other sliders).

Thanks. I looked at the user guide you posted, and I was concerned about the part about saving to the data directory. For Daz Connect installations, the data directory is in the individual "cloud" folders. In general, things a user tries to add in there won't work. Does the randomizer get around that problem because it is a plug in?

Cloud installs still set up folder structures (by default, in your "Users\YourName\Documents folder) which is all the plugin needs.  To be safe I just tested this with a cloud installed item I've never installed locally and verified it works laugh

But we can still save to any real folder in our runtime, yes? I don't use my C: drive for anything except Windows & applications. It's a dinky SSD drive.

Presets will auto-save to the Content Directory of the figure/prop, but when you manually export/import, you can use any location  you choose.

As I don't like saving 'extras' in the folders Studio manages, I created simbolic links in a preferred directory; seems to work.

    Love this product.

  • I really miss being able to select all the morphs at once .... but aside from that this is a very good upgraded version of the utility and absolutely worth the price.

Best change - its a window tab now and not a dialog box.  Means you can do other stuff at the same time, like flipping open parameters and manually dialing down that alien morph you included on accident *cough*  Or turning round the figure and checking all the sides, and zooming on the face

Change I'm sulky about -  that 800 dial limit *lol*  Means I cant shove ALL the facial features into one master spinner.  Instead I'm breaking them out into sections - head-face, ears, nose, etc  I had done this on the old one but it was very cumbersome.  Ah well, every program has limits and thats how it is.

Great change  - something that I really wanted on the previous version was being able to set each dials high and low value manually.  This is great for those dials you only ever want a tiny amount of, versus more subtle ones you want at full force.  (hint click on the lil arrow to expand the morph list in a preset)

Also a great change - being able to have a bunch of preset dial clusters and having them load up anytime you pick the relevant figure. Woudlnt have minded at least the base DAZ dial presets included, but eh. I can manage.

I checked this on the dog 8, mildragon, subdragon, g3, g1 and g8. Works on everything just fine so far, no issues.  So far it looks like if it has morphs it will work, same as the last version.

Two things - I would like to be able to search the category names and not just the morph names - so I can search for Fantasy Scifi and turn them on/off more easily.    And, though its probably not possible,  a function to find  'morphs not currently in any presets'

any rate - thanks for the great product!

  • Thanks for this cool plugin!

I have a small request, the Tab name "SimTeneroRandomizer2" is a bit long taking up extra tab space, so perhaps you can shorten it to "Randomizer2"?

  • Any chance for a possible Mac version/update? I mean, I have a PC, so it's not a total wash out for me, but I primarily work with Mac, so not having to continually transfer between systems would be nice, ahaha.

  • Is there really no way to batch select morphs?  Selecting hundreds of morphs takes forever.

I agree, having to click so many times is less than desireable.

i have customied my UI for Daz Studio so after i installed the Randomizer the tab for it did not show up in the Windows/Tabs pull down menu. I switched back to City Limits Lite and was able to access the Randomizer Tab.

Is there a way i can use the product with my customized UI - i really like my custom UI.

I can't see a thing in the interface. This is useless to me. Why is it black? The script version I went back to isn't black.

It might have something to do with the "Style" colors you have selected for your Daz Studio Workspace. I have a similar problem with Visual Menus. I don't own Sim Tenero Randomizer2. I have the original version, which works fine for me. Remember that you can return this product within 30 days if you can't get it working to your satisfaction. I hope you find a solution.

Have you entered the serial number in help>About Installed plug-ins and restarted DS? You can get the serial number (assuming it uses one) from your account pages, or by right-click on the plug-in's entry in the Installed tab of Install Manager.

Has anyone tried this with Genesis 2 figures? ,Ihave an issue with the base chest morphs making the body explode no matter how low I try

Possible to get this working in Beta 4.12?

Works fine in 4.11, but can't even locate the tab in 4.12; it isn't in it's normal place when adding windows. Maybe it is because it's Beta?

Even though I've had Beta installed for years, it didn't show up; uninstalling then installing again solved the problem though - in case anyone else is wondering, thought I'd mention it.

    Hi,

I hate to criticize but I'm having trouble seeing the pane's text.  I REALLY wish you hadn't chosen such a 'technicolor' color scheme 'cos I can't read it, and I can't see how to change it to something readable (see example screen shots).

I really DON'T want to alter my existing workspace color scheme.  Is there a way of changing the panes colors?  If I can't I may simply have to apply for a refund.

Any help would be most appreciated.

  • Has anybody tried this with Genesis 8.1 yet?  Since I can't read the screen colors, I'm kinding clicking blind and DS crashed.  May or not be related to 8.1 but I thought I'd check.  If nothing else, to find out if there's been an update to the product, since we've had a few upgrades to DS since 2018.

  • Update on Genesis 8.1 - it does work.  It doesn't recognize the 8.1 morphs, so you can't include them in the randomizer's list. You can dial it in manually though either before or after randomizing. Or load the character up, then save it as a Favorite, which you can use as a starting point.  I've attached a random Mousso face (all the Mousso characters that I own).  This one is maybe 25% Pandora.
