More diversity

I'd like to see some more diversity within the genisis 8 models. There are lots and lots of white models. It feels like with Daz Originals there are more new fantasy models, than Asian, African, Arab...models (that's just the A's).

I like diversity but also could we get some more normal, less pretty people as well.
Have you used these. Not perfect but you can create some more realistic people.

This is great! When I did a search on Genesis 8 models that were Daz Originals, the graph was much heavier on the lighter skin side.
problem is, many here don't want to do the work, they want to buy, click and render unfortunately. Great for PAs, bad for creativity.

Morphs won't get you there no matter how 'creative' you are.
Oh yeah, but I meant like the African Version of Mabel and Floyd. Or Asian version. You can't really put a texture for a young African male on old Floyd and mix in some traits. It doesn't look right.
I disagree. the only thing I can't do in that package is the HD parts because it is done with DAZ tools. You win though, I will stop offering alternatives to buy, click, and render, happy!
Morph work I do all day til the cows come home but a good variety of textures is really ideal to go along with those morphs.

Morphs are great but Texture maps would add so much more variety like those that come with the package deals

For those that have Edie 8 and Etta for Edie 8, my Crone provides ethnicity through both morphs and skins.

As I read that the OP is asking for the scenario where a new character comes out for Daz Generation 8 and is a standalone figure that Called "Whoever for Genesis 8". And that character that all sorts of specific and custom details created for that character. So along with Diversity they mean Variety. Seems simple enough to understand. When lots of people go "Oh ho-hum another caucasian (female) character with a similar level of attractiveness, age and body shape." That's what they mean.
The OP didn't ask How do I make an ethnic character from a generic one?
But still, when presented with a work-a-round, they seem pleased.....

So great, you are working at the level of a Daz PA. Yes, great. Has nothing to do with the original point about Diversity. And that's also ignoring the ZBrush reference.

Actually, I claimed the internet as a whole is touchy (which is a proven scientific fact), and I'm sure FSMCDesign's reply to my "touchy" post was all in good fun (hence the "LOL"). And my "touchy" comment was refering to RKane_1's reply to my post with texture links (the "Your Point" comment). Just want to clear things up to avoid misunderstandings if you where refering to one of my replies. Apologies if it created waves.

I like the morphs and I have them all for such reasons. I have them for Genesis 3 and use them a lot.
BUT! I don't want to buy them all over again for Genesis 8 (at least for a while)
So for now, I'd rather have a character created as Genesis 8 than to buy all those morphs again.

Maybe someday we'll get a GenX equivalent for Gen3 to Gen8 to fill the gap between character releases. Shame the original GenX will likely never be updated. The only other option I can think of is to transfer the morphs using the long method (the link leads to a forum post tutorial for G2F to G3F - Kattey's tutorial is close to the bottom of page 21 if my link doesn't snap to it instantly). I think I came across a post for transferring V4 to G8F not long ago - I'm sure someone has posted a tut on Gen3 to Gen8 by now.
Got those too but while they help plenthy with the morph side, the texture map is still problematic. Sorry if I appeared snappish. My apologies. :)

I think the OP means "official first party characters" and not necessarily PAs as the PAs have ALWAYS provided diversity, which would make the OP's post moot, though I lament that the diversity with generation 7 hasn't been as robust as generation 8... Where's Lee 8?
