V4 (and up) hair recommendations?

Could you recommend some ?more recent? or ?oldie but goodie? v4-compatible hair that would be more or less universal (general?) purpose (perhaps with actor morphs that change haircut noticeably). I remember that in Victoria 3 times, Kozaburo hair was the hottest topic around. So what was with v4? I know there are still hair being created that support multiple generations (wow, from v4 to g8, what a long road), but when i browse store i feel lost quickly, so would like to hear your opinions.

As for specific types, also would be curious to see if there was a more modern version of https://www.daz3d.com/wet-hair

Recent V4 hair? Not on this site. Try Rendo - there are still people over there making new content for ancient models.

Oldie but goodie? Yes loads, but I'm not sure about the "universal" thing. One hair that's a crew cut and a bob and a ponytail and an updo and heaven knows what else? Good luck with that one. Better to get several hairs (V4 stuff is regularly discounted to 80% off) that provide the looks you're after, instead of trying to find one hair to rule them all.

Most hair will fit most models, if you're prepared to ignore auto fit and just parent the hair to the model's head instead. Also look at the various hair texture products that allow you to adapt old hairs to the land of iray. I tend to use one by OutOfTouch that's sold at Rendo, but there are several others available here.

Ah, yeah, i didn't mean "one" hair.  Having morphs is always a plus though.

"Recent" as "after 2010" :) What i notice with very old gen4 hair, you can see surfaces as faces; while more modern hair worked more believable
