I bet Boyd does, too.
It occurred to me that Boyd tends to be the frisky sexy one and that sometimes that roll should be reversed especially since Boyd loves it so much.
I love that render with the guys riding the horses. I wish OOT would do a set of mane and tail props. Wouldn't that be amazing?The tail and mane on the Daz horse are just so hard to pose, and it never looks natural.
I agree! I'm surprised a more realistic mane and tail prop hasn't been made yet. That one, never looked particualrly good, and now its looking kind of long in the tooth.
I have a secret fascination with the Tubo hotel, and its texture expansion....although I'm pretty sure I wouldn't like to stay there. No bathroom and no blinds, and that thin hard looking bed, but the boys seem to like it, and they have plenty of provisions, including many boxes of English Tea... (?) I added from the zombie hunter van set.

Owen and Boyd Trivia
When Boyd and Owen first meet, Owen is late for the Brain selection, but not by choice. He is late because he stops to help a medical transports which blew two tires on the road, thus missing the first round.
Boyd has 5 brothers and sisters. He is the Middle child.
Boyd had a nanny as a child.
Owen was raised by his grandparents. His mother lost custody of Owen.
Boyds last name is Michaels and that is also Owen’s middle name.
Both guys are named after colors.
Mannequin for Genesis 8 male is an interesting product. You basically get some wood shaders, some limb caps for your mannequin body, and a stand. Pose the mannequin using G8M poses, and then apply your limb caps.
I've been wanting to do a department store window kind of display with men's clothing. And this makes such a scene possible.
The limb caps would also be good for cyborgs... For when their cybernetic limb is not attached.
Here I am constructing a little scene to go with my cool mannequins.
Wood seems like a strange texture for the mannequin. Have you ever seen a wooden mannequin? Can you apply other shaders?
Any Shader will work on basic male. You can click him, select his surface and apply whatever you like. The end caps will hide limbs including the head if you want. It can then be made to wear whatever clothing. Since I want my window display to be festive I’ll try some shaders and you can see how they look.

There is a scene I want to do, of Owen looking at a suit in department store window, that is super expensive, and beyond his means. (this is not that suit)

Sexy undies for sale!
The challenge here is finding poses for your Gensis 8 male, that aren't distracting or weird. And figuring out where to stick the pole!
I think the set, could use some presets of sample dummies.
You probably can use that Art Deco statue & lamp product from, I forget his name, to make mannequins too.

Owen is trying not to laugh as he has never owned sexy underwear in his life, but Boyd is intrigued by the new outfit on display at the mall. This is subsequently the same thong Boyd buys Owen for Christmas. It is the classic Oliver Thong by FW Oliver Megapack.
This scene is actually an all female store from Rendo. I removed all the visible images of women, and replaced them with a couple of guy sale ads, I made from stock photos. I recolored the mannequin gold, the leather chairs red latex, and used those new christmas wrapping shaders on the stand, Owen's bag and the pillows. I made the wall lavendar to make the scene pop out and used an emissive 65 watt bulb to light up the poster behind the counter which made it hot orange. The mannequin I recolored gold. I recolored the thong and mini-t red satin with gold trim. (In hindsight gold trim wasn't a great idea). Unfortunately, I don't seem to have any clothing racks with men's clothing, so I just pushed the woman's rack to one side.
The sweater Owen is wearing is from the Knickerbocker outfit. My friend Nic tipped me off, that If you hide the shirt it looks really nice, as a basic sweater. In this case, I layered it over a plain t-shirt.
Mad Scientist Outift.
I was originally going to pass this over, snce the white outfit looked unfinished. But I took a second glance at the set, and really liked it. I thought it would be great for Owen's grandfather, who is in fact a scientist, although not mad.
Silas is a Drosselmeyer like character. People think he's funny or strange, or a harmelss old coot, and this is the image he cultivates, and encourages via a disinformation network. He is neither though, he is a resistance cell leader, and a master of robotics. In Silas, we see a number of Owen's more positive traits. Like Owen, Silas never takes offense to what people think about him. Very rarely loses his temper, and tends to like people, and see the best in them.
Dang, forgot Owen’s cast and crutch. Will have to rerender.
Really nice how you set up the shop/boutique for them. But I think I'm most captivated by Boyd's almost innocent fascination with that outfit.
Boyd’s only had his body for about a month so all things corporeal are quite new to him. His last attempt while Owen was deployed was not a succes mostly due to his substitute prime not being too good at his job and making him feel self conscious but now that Owens back, even Owen injured and recovering has had a galvanizing effect on Boyd. Boyd’s confidence is much higher now due to Owens support and approval. Boyd does have a bit of boyish delight in everyday things though. There is a difference in being a brain in a bot and intelectualizing what it would be like to experience day to day life. Quite another to get to eat icecream sundaes walks in the park, and wear skimpwear.
Saw your department store render in the gallery- so great! And like Phoenix mentioned above, I really like the expressions on the guys-there is kind of an innocent sweetness in their relationship that I really enjoy.
A fan pointed out that Owen would still have his cast and crutch in this scene, and I realized he was right! He was also right that Owen is somewhat under dressed compared to Boyd and wanted to know if Owen had some immunity to the cold. Interesting question, I hadn't considered it. Boyd is somehwat temperature sensative, since, he is uncaccustomed to feeling cold at all. So that could be part of it.
As far as Owen's ripped jeans... Boyd would make it his mission to replace those as soon as possible. Alphas are just as protective of Primes when it comes to their partners.
Thank you! Then my mission is succeeding. Boyd and Owen have a sweet romance, in a dark and dangerous world. Fortunatley, everything works out in the end.
Here's a test of a pose from my upcoming set. I also wanted to try kitbashing together some really warm winter outfits. The absence of really good warm coats is an ongoing sore point for me since a lot of outfits are kinda thin.
One thing I found is the Russian coat really recolors pretty well, if you take the base texture into PS and lighten it some. Boyd has on that autumn jacket, that I bought a while ago and never had much luck with.
Both coats look really good.
Oops, looks like the textures for Intergalactic Spy Outfit are in the wrong folder. They are located in a folder called dforce Intergalactic Spy Outfit. Looks like this outfit once had a different name.
Hm... Well, Nix does not thrill me His nipples are loading as basic pink blobs. Even undialed in (which they apparently are), there should be some detail there. He's got a fairly big head, and his hips seem on the large side to me.

There is some nice details on the jacket including a faux ziper. Shoulders are nice, and the shirt hangs well. Sleeves are a bit bell-shaped for my taste and don't flatter Nix, and the seam design twists around to the front in an unusual way, but I kind of like it.
I do like that the set has some seams which keeps things real. Boots are pretty good, although lack top laces. The glasses are a bit Matrixy-John Lennon for my taste preferences. Base texture I didn't like at all, but the expansion is nice. I'd say this is a good purchase.

The site is acting wonky, but I really love the very nice texture work on this expansion to Sci-fi Assassin. Love all the little fine details, like the neon webbing, the streaks of luminous powered threads in the garment, the fantastic chest frogs, belt, and boots. This is an amazingly fine piece of work, some of the nicest textures I've seen in a while on a sci-fi item. Thumbs up! Just beautiful.
