Creating MAT poses for dummies

Hello,
sorry to ask a question that must have been asked several times. I first searched the forum, but all the thread (a total of two of them) didn't help me, because the links were too old. So I'm asking the question myself.
I created a few sets of textures for hairs. I enjoy applying them via shaders, but most people prefer MAT poses. I want to learn how to create them as easily as possible in DS 4.5 Pro. I searched the Web high and low - all tutorials I found either work for DS 3 only or want me to make Material Presets. I only need a simple icon or shortcut to my textures. Can somebody help me please? Thanks in advance and regards.

In DS, you can save then out as either .duf of .dsa.
Save As -> Material Preset (for .duf) or Save As -> Deprecated -> Material Preset (.ds*) for .dsa file
But then they can only be used in DS.
For Poser I recommend MATWriter (google it)
Thank you all for your fast replies. I searched for MAT Writer and got the shop page (RuntimeDNA). Does any of you know if there is a freeware that does the job as well please?
You can save .mc6-files with Poser, or you can look at an existing .mc6 file and modify it with a text editor. But Poser is also commercial (but you will need it if you make materials for it or you won't know how they render.

I don't have Poser, but for testing my textures in it, I plan to make a public beta and see if somebody who's eager to help can render in Poser. Regarding editing with a text editor, does it mean I can take a ready MAT pose file and somehow make it point to my own texture? This would only help with creating MAT poses for my own, as it wouldn't be fair for released items. Thank you!
